I bought the bike second hand so i didn’t do it, but pretty much weld them on usually, bit sketchy but mine is some custom thing where there’s cut cranks, and pegs on end of them, just gotta weld so they do spin.

Yeah there is like a “dead zone”, definitely weird but can get used to it, or tune your bike but I’m not sure how.
