    Nic vid, I’m at the power wheelie stage, still scared to get it higher to balance point I’ve got to it a couple times but I get scared and hit the brake, just taking it slow practicing each time I ride, one thing that helped me was 1) focus on letting the bike do the work don’t jerk or pull it the MX4 has more than enough power to get it up, 2) leaning back and trusting the bike, in the start I would always lean forward as the front end came up but it would drop the bike down instantly, I’m no expert but if anyone is a beginner at this like me just some tips I learned

      appreciate that! Keep at it, and another tip I forgot to include in this is looking upwards toward the horizon line rather than directly at the front wheel... makes it easier to balance, same way its easier to balance on one foot when you look ahead, rather than straight down at your foot

    Solid video, I always like to watch wheelie videos even if I’ve heard the same things over and over. And reading comments. You can always learn something new and try something different to become better. I started off on grass and quickly transitioned to pavement because it’s a bit harder to keep balance on grass. Anyway my two cents would be don’t stop trying keep going. Some days are going to be bleh but others better. Every bit counts. It all adds up!

    Thank you for you advices :)
    I am wondering which is better for me, in terms of my height - Talria vs Surron.
    You keep your feet on the ground (2:57), but shorter rider probably would have problem in this situation on bigger Talaria.
    Can you tell, how tall are you?

  • @treehugger2290
    @treehugger2290 Před 9 měsíci +3

    Nice job on the wheelies. Is there a reason you don't leave it on regen 4 so you don't need to be quick with the brake, and only need to modulate the throttle?
    I practiced wheelies for many years on pedal bicycles, dirt bikes, and street bikes. A friend of mine could pop up the front wheel of his Yamaha 650 street bike and go through the gears on the balance point. I could never do that. The only time I was able to ride a wheelie as long as I wanted was standing on the seat riding on a smooth athletic field in first gear. I think some people just lack the skill to ride on the balance point for long distances. Like myself. 😉

    • @freerfixedit
      @freerfixedit  Před 9 měsíci +2

      It just makes it easier to coast and not have to constantly either be on the gas or throttle. I used to leave it on 4 but I think I like 1 better now.

    Great video, thanks as always! Do you find it easier to wheelie with the 3” riser bars? I haven’t done that upgrade yet, I’m only 5’9” and not sure I need the riser bars. Do you like them overall? I mainly ride off-road single track on my talaria, so wondering about how you like the risers for off road dirt riding. Thanks!

    • @freerfixedit
      @freerfixedit  Před 8 měsíci +2

      I like them a lot! They make the posture a lot more comfortable on the bike and do make wheelies a little easier with more leverage to pull up. Overall I like them a lot. You can check out my recent Amazon mods video to see the install/review. Thanks for the support! 🤙🏽🤝

I have watched many tutorials to like kinda get ready but this one im feeling! Thanks for the good tips, and seeing forward to start wheeling. But one question? Could it be a easier start if you know how to wheelie on a regular bike? Thanks!

    • @freerfixedit
      @freerfixedit  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Love to hear it! I think if you can wheelie a regular bike it will help with being familiar with the balance point and how to keep a wheelie going... then will just need to translate that to the throttle and brake of the talaria... definitely dont think it would hurt... hope you enjoy it, be safe, and good luck with the wheelies! Appreciate the feedback and dont hesitate to drop any questions you have in the comments!

    • @freerfixedit
      @freerfixedit  Před 4 měsíci

      lower psi helps, i run about 10-15... also the further back you are helps, along with looking up towards the horizon, rather than down at your fender or front wheel. kinda like how its easier to stand on one foot when you look ahead vs down at your foot

  • @cameronmcclure2452
    @cameronmcclure2452 Před 10 měsíci +4

    Hey man whats the secret for side to side, I know you had the same issue I'm having with side to side for a little bit there. I'm thinking its more just keep my torso straight up and down and pull the handlebars left and right to keep it straight or turn, seem right?

    • @freerfixedit
      @freerfixedit  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Speed helps stay straight, less psi in rear tire helps, I run 15 psi, and I kinda use my knees to correct the weight distribution if I start to lean, and the further back you are the easier it is to stay centered. And I’ve noticed the slightest amount of wind does really affect it as well
