    Very informative Soonkie my dear. I was on both low-dose aspirin as well as 75 mg Clopidogrel. My cardiologist discontinued the aspirin.
    P.S. I am finally going back to live in Thailand end of July. Hopefully with no quarantine.🙏🏼

    Great learning video. I'm taking 75 mg of Clopidogrel along with a baby asperin daily and haven't noticed any side effects. I also take turmeric and moringa, 2 grams each daily. Can you tell me if that is unwise to do? I don't seem to have any side effects of negative symptoms. I'm going to Panama at the end of this month for three months and want to make sure my meds are okay. Thanks again for a wonderful video. You have a terrific heart.

      Hi tom, if the doctor has prescribe the clopidogrel and aspirin to you together, that’s to go together. In terms of turmeric and moringa, there are not too many studies around. There may be some studies with turmeric and clopidogrel and aspirin interaction. It seems like the taking them together are fine. Yet the quality of the studies might not be the highest grade and extensive enough to say 100% that it is ok and without problems in the long run. Hope this helps.do you really need to take turmeric and moringa tablets? Putting them in normal food and consume it in moderation may be safer for you.

    Is it ok to take Omega 3 fish oil supplement (one per day 1000mg) with Clopidogrel (75mg per day) ?? If it's not ok to take Omega 3 with Clopidogrel is it ok to eat oily fish (Salmon, Sardines etc) while on Clopidogrel ??

      Hi Luna, take it for as long as the doctor tells your dad. It is crucial to take it ti or went heart attack or stroke. Remember the video’s point like report to the doctor if your dad has unusual bleeding etc.

      Hi Sandra, there isn’t much data on this. Just pay attention to if you are bruising more unusually. Or blood is taking longer than usual to clot.

    • @soonkiethepharmacist
      @soonkiethepharmacist  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Bernie, If you have trouble remembering, set an alarm to remind you at the same time everyday. Place your meds at the same place all the time, so you form a habit to go to that place and take it. Try and stick to the same time. If you forget to take it, you run the risk of a heart attack.

    I'm ignoring my doctors advice to stop clopidogrel, its been a year after my stent placement. I don't want to die just yet. I have heard I am at a higher risk of thrombosis when stopping clopidogrel.

    • @soonkiethepharmacist
      @soonkiethepharmacist  Před 2 lety

      Hi Boeman, your doctor asked you to stop clopidogrel? there must be a reason why. If you don't feel comfortable with his advice, get a second opinion from another doctor. Clopidogrel may thin the blood too much and cause haemorrhage in the brain and cause stroke as well. Need to strike a balance between blood clots and blood not being able to clot.

      hi Marisa, I believe Progrel is the brand name. You need to look at the box and see the word clopidogrel.. if unsure, check with your pharmacist. every pharmacy will keep the brand they prefer. but all of their scientific name is clopidogrel.

    hi. i was infected with covid and was admitted to the hospital with moderate level of covid. with level 2 hypertension. When i was discharged after 14 days they gave me clopidogrel for 3 months they said it will prevent blood clotting due to covid infection. but I am also taking my maintenance for hyoertension. by the way im 38yo.Is it ok not to take clopidrogrel coz i ddint feel well the 1st time I take it. tnx in advnce.

    • @soonkiethepharmacist
      @soonkiethepharmacist  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Raymond, you need to speak to your doctor about it. They will not make light decisions when giving you clopidogrel. There is no problems for people to take clopidogrel and high blood pressure medication. People with hypertension are more likely to have a stroke or heart attack if a blood clot happens. and covid infection increases the risk of people get blood blot. If you feel unwell, speak to your doctor

    • @soonkiethepharmacist
      @soonkiethepharmacist  Před 2 lety

      No. If you aren’t prescribed clopidogrel, you need your take it everyday. The blood has to be thinned everyday, as it will get thick again without the medication the next day and your run the risk of heart attack or stroke
