Modric is a pure midfielder. And Mbappe is a pure striker. Maradona, Zidane, Kaká, James are great examples of number 10. Messi is probably more of a striker, but it's ok. Griezmann could be seen as a 10, but in France he usually plays as a advanced midfielder and in Atlético as a pure striker. Bellingham kind of looks like a 10. We'll see.

No. 10 is disappearing because if you see RM Right now , they are all performing outstanding , No 10 does playmaking , dribbling and passing plus attacking, every RM player knows how to do that. Infact they are all trained what a No. 10 does usually. You may disagree but luka can be substituted by anyone these days because they are all capable of doing miracles in a match.
