- Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between. Elden Ring takes place in the Lands Between, a fictional realm over which several demigods rule. It was previously ruled over by the immortal Queen Marika, who acted as keeper of the Elden Ring, a powerful force that manifested itself as the physical concept of order.
When Marika shattered the Elden Ring and disappeared, her demigod children began fighting over pieces of the Ring in an event called The Shattering. Each demigod has a shard of the Ring called a Great Rune, which corrupts them with power. In the game, the player character is a Tarnished, one of a group of exiles from the Lands Between who are summoned back after the Shattering. The player must traverse the realm to repair the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord.

Can’t make an Elden Omelette without breaking a few Elden Eggs!
11:31 Dueling etiquette is traditionally no flasks because the host has an unfair advantage, since phantoms only get half of their max flasks. Invasions, anything goes. Some people choose to honor duel in invasions but it’s not like, required or anything.
17:55 assassin’s gambit is a great runback tool since it can let you slip by mobs of enemies unnoticed, I like to have it on a dagger for that purpose.
Interesting thought on the gambit! I haven’t come across any awful runbacks yet, but I’m sure the back half of the game has plenty of surprises.

yep rya is how I first found the volcano blind. i did it the way Galactic did it my second character.
Do you plan to play the DLC before or after the endgame boss?
I think for all my Dark Souls playthroughs, I did the DLCs before the final boss, so I plan on continuing the pattern!
