Ctrl +shift+T (others suggested that too) did not work. I had ~50 tabs open last night. While my computer was shutting down, it was updating things as well, before shutting off. This morning, none of my tabs appeared. I don't see "restore last session" under History either. What happened, and more importantly, what could I do? I don't want to go through my History to bring up tabs -- some have been up a long time, so I'd have to scroll down along time, then scroll again, etc. Thanks!

I thought I saw a forum like a year ago that showed how to edit your files to get the earlier version of the session that existed before the point where the browser settings reset from the update and prevented the older session from being recovered but I can't find it now. Have you had any luck since posting this?

It is a bit late, but I worked out how to fix this as I had the same issue. Go to top right of Google chrome and click on the three dots in a line (called customise and control), scroll to history, then the arrow next to history will bring up any recently closed tabs/menus, including those that did not work with CTRL SHFT T. You will note a selection of individual pages and one or two "blank tabs" with sub menus. Select any of these blank tabs with sub menu's. I selected the one a tab icon, and it brought back my 9 windows I lost due to the reset from the night before. Hope this helps anybody else with this issue going forward.

I'm trying to get the tabs I closed a few days ago on chrome. I have already looked at the shortcuts, the little setting menu in history to reopen closed tabs, and history in general. Most of the tabs i opened was around a months ago so find them with history is not possible.

Is there any way to restore the tabs after I had to RESET (not restart, reSET) the computer??? I had brave browser opened, and about 100 tabs and my computer decided to freeze and was not repairable. So I reset the computer and it removed Brave and then I had to reinstall Brave but the tabs did not come back...😞
