I finally had the courage to ask. I wanted it to be unique. Also, Charissa, if your boyfriend makes you happy, do not let past experiences derail your pursuit of happiness. I do not know what all happened to you, but I know how difficult it is to let go of horrible memories. I have had medical issues that made me believe I was a failure. My wonderful fiance helped me realize how no matter how bad someone's problems are, they deserve to be happy. Now, my issues do not define me---outside of a few appointments. The point is, everyone has a right to be happy, no matter what happened previously. You have got this, Charissa, and anyone else going through a tough situation right now. When all else fails, we can always say, "Back to you, Kev."

Back in the late 70's, United Airlines sent thank-you's to wives of corporate execs appreciating their visit and hoped they had a good time traveling with their husband. Unfortunately, some of those execs weren't taking their wives. At least your hotel did it ahead of time and you could cancel the reservation.
