It may not be what I was back in 2018, 19 or 20... But players still panic when they see it, get this tank into a right position and it will just dominate battles.
Numbers do not lie, having 59% overall playerbase winratio in the last 60 days puts it above any other tier 10 tank...
the win rate helps that most of the people polaying it are just really good

Congrats on the tank. I am still on the T55A and Chimera missions. At this rate it will take me 5years + to get the Obj 260 and Obl 279e!
I have the 260 but 279e is SOOOO much harder, it is insane :(
@@utubesignupblows it is not hard but you have to play a whole bunch and make a strategy for getting it. Like getting all Excalibur and chimera missions 15 with honors and doing the german and french missions for 279 or something like that.
Bro i feel you so hard. Today alone i was REALLY grinding missions. Get SO close but the team itself keeps getting in the way.
@@lazygamez7280 well I am doing them all with Honours, regardless... of how long it takes. I want those emblems. I got 4/5 heavies to do on t55a and 2 arty left to go for t55a.
I done all Lt, Mt, And Td with honours so far.
Not looking forward to the 260 ones to be honest... god help me with the 279e.
But I am almost done with excalibur all with honours too. I will continue them as I go along, in between trying to 3 mark a vehicle, taking a break and trying a few missions etc.
But I want Campaign one with Honours, 55-60% win rate overall and 8000+ personal rating is my goal. I am at 53% now, and 6500+. So a way to go yet!
@@re2590 you should probably just get all the tanks first and then use 260 and 279 yo got some missions a bit easier.
That's just my opinion tho and you can do whatever you want.
Also how is your rating so low when you have 1% more wr than me and i got 1000 more rating this game makes no sense.

Gratz Dez. I remember when i finally unlocked mine i had tears in my eyes. The highs and lows with RNG trying to get certain missions done. But in the end, the 279e really is a lot of fun to play.

I too have played this game for nearly 11 years, I've only unlocked the T28. I can't see me ever getting the 260 or the early 279.
Pssst, it's called Overtank. It will cost you big time to let them do it all. it works great for occasional help on 2-3 missions at a time.

11 years but how many battles is the real question. 11 years with 10k battles is almost the same as 2 years with 10k battles
why not. doign the missions is fun, and you learn what tanks are best for specific missions. you get credits, premium. not just day.s but months in total.
most of these missions weren't around till 2016-2017

I really enjoy the Cent 7/1. Nice gun, nice mobility, nice turret, not OP, pen enough to work without gold spamming. It's a legit good tank
way to go getting it! you have great vids & info.. i am no where close to 279e, 1 step away from HTC28..
Funny thing is, the console edition was giving away this tank for free via operation, which consisted of 5 tasks, back in around 2019 (since content for consoles appears with 1 year delay). The operation, however, had a small window of time, 1 month to be precise. And this tank along other Tier X Permiums (T95/Cheiftain, VK 76, etc) is still available to get for 350k Free Exp, on console, without the need to grind this task system which is included in PC version.
Interesting to hear your voice and at the same time the voice of the commander crew who are ultimately the same hahahahaha... I didn't have a chance to get that crew member...
definitely that is one of the most hated and at the same time most desired tanks of all. It's very dangerous on the right map and in the right hands... but 5k in the first battle tells you what it's capable of. I have it since October 2020. Greetings from Caracas, Venezuela
I worked on it hard for more than 1.5 years, really the final task to do in WoT. Just weird to get it, one has many times to play contrary to you team or even winning
I got mine doing UNION missions with honors. unlocked the tank with the orders from the other tanks (4x excaliber + 4 chimera + 1 union 15)
I also love the cent 7/1, actually i love all cent tanks in wot xD. But I think that the reload on the 7/1 is quite long in this meta

Didn't even finish the Excalibur missions yet. Just can't be bothered going for the missions specifically. Especially since I tend to not play one or two tanks per session, but rather play an assortment of different ones. If I were to focus on the missions, I could probably do them a lot quicker, but eh.

For me, that day was three days ago on October 11th 2022. I was shaking so hard when I realised I just got the last acetanker medal necessary to do Alliance-15 with honors. Did it with the T8 Bulldog :)

I myself am working on the last missions for Chimera right now, got the T55A already and so am also doing missions for the 260. But as mostly free to play player it's a bit difficult, as well I'm trying to do all missions with honour... So I could be a bit further, but I dont want too XD

I haven't gotten the Chimera yet. Need to play more German/Japan mixes to get it I guess, but I just can't find myself enjoying anything in those nations at the moment.
In all honestly - I don't play WoT as much as I used to 3-4 years ago, so I don't really care about the 279(e) as much as I cared about the 260.
play since beta and get no one 260 or 279 now i am focus MORE the mission and have still 50% from all missions for the 260 but still hard to get chimera. can't even begin to imagine how you could get all 279 missions in randoms "in a timely manner" as a pure single player
I've been at it for 4 years, just recently got the 260. Started grinding the 279e but I'm losing interest in the game and haven't been playing as much. Maybe I'll have a resurgence of interest and get it some day.

I can see the missions, there’s currently 15 tasks to get it… but what about that currency that’s used to ‘start’ the missions, the “compete for ___” ?

90% done with 279(e). I've stopped working on it as I get all my crews to 5 skills (for Crew 2.0)
8000 Battles for this tank and the missions. 8000 battles without looking for WN8 or winrate but at least IT is meine.

I think I got my Obj 279e on Dec 31, 2020 about 1 month after Obj 260. Started WoT PC May 31, 2015
im over 10 years still dont have it. i never really go for missions. good job!

Centurion 7/1 is a great tank. I like it a lot. But its hard to have big games in it.

Well, I'm one of those who don't have 279(e)....damn, i don't have 260 yet. Main problem mission with USA/UK....spot 4k of damage (not tracking, just spotting) and I only have Centurion AX which is a good spotter but poor in cammo value....so yeah.... missions for Chimera, too. Long list of not finished missions....but I''m glad you finally got 279 (e) :)

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉I think that I will get it in 3 yrs, I already played 3 yrs. My best tank is the vz 55,i love that thin too, just the mobility and the firepower.
I stopped playing a year and a bit ago after about 8 or 9 years or so. If I remember rightly I had the first stug unlocked after using some orders as I never could get anywhere near doing the last light tank mission. Never played it though. I don’t think I was anywhere near any of the other missions, original or 2.0. Anyone who can intentionally grind to completion the RNG fest that was the missions gets my respect.
i am wondering is obj279e china/russia chapter missions easiest one? i been grinding them and unlock other chapters with books

Call me noob, but I wasn't even aware of personal/campaign missions for the first 6 months :O
A year later, I am now knocking out T55A & Chimera, but not really trying - I play, and sometimes I complete a mission. I found that the harder I tried, the less likely I was to succeed, for some reason!

Im struggling with the acetanker missions... somehow as soon as it is a mission, I cant get acetankers no more... i accomplished exalibur, but I still need 3 acetankers and 1 epic medal or higher to get the remaining 3 contracts. Then I do the dame for chimera and then I plan on completing just one block with excellence and the rest with contracts... but lets see how that goes since I am not the best player. Above average, i am good but not very good and I feel like you need to be very freaking good :(
Over 1300 base XP on a tier 10 -- second class medal only.
Started in July 2011, I still don't have it. Didn't really work on missions until a couple years ago though.

Which missions are the hardest to use by-bass contracts?
I unlocked mine few weeks ago, 4 years of grinding and after 5 games I got bored with it. So I'm waiting for Campaign 3.0
I don't play SPG or Lights. I used have the Manticore but I kinda gave it up for credits. I didn't hate but I really needed credits at the time. I'll probably never get this tank lol. Which is probably a good thing.
i got you as a tank commander this pass Christmas be give out box to other player i keep give them out every day even when i was done and i got a gift that had you as a commander in it box so that was cool
Yeah some of those arty missions are quite annoying. Especially for arty trees like the french which is hardly competitive
They also ruin your stats

Load some gold and balance it. Yesterday did that with my Strv. Boy, he was not happy about😂😂😂

I'm still trying to get the T55A & Excalibur but honestly as much as I'd pay real money to faster advance through missions!! I just can't be f**king asked to fully waste my time and brain cells on playing to complete missions!!
