    That xterra pro sounded good with a stable VDI. It is hard the stability of a single frequency machine in a high EMI area. What a great machine for $269 😮 Thanks buddy!

      it depends on settings, theres a lot of filters turn on on terra pro, which make it quiter but also it can pass some small targets. On lengend you can turn them on or off, also proper speed, ground balance can fix this.

      @@TechniNoiXbut it's still a EMI Magnet Detector just like the Simplex + that I have and it is now collecting Dust and I have Now the Minelab X-TERRA Pro and No MORE Problem's with the EMI and dysfunctional Simplex and No MORE iron quarter Tone's that the Simplex told me that there's a Valid Reason to dig it up and it was a junk signal target masked as a quarter and the X-Terra Pro says that it's a JUNK Target And I have dug up some junk Targets just to get a idea and it's right.... and on the X-Terra Pro you can do that same thing as the legend detector that you are talking about and I know about the Simplex + and the small targets that It said that it is a good target Tone and instead it was a JUNK Targets signal and I very much appreciate the X-Terra Pro and it's abilities to tell me what is a good target and the Junk Target's. But the Simplex is like a waist of time and the All Metal Mode on the Simplex + is A 5 button push and the Simplex Ultra is a 6 button push from Field 1 AND the X-Terra Pro is a 1 Button Push to get to it and it's so much more than the other Detectors that I don't think that I will ever have to get another Detector but instead I will take 2 X-Terra Pro's and the X-Terra Pro jumpy VDI is that it's telling me that there's a junk signal target and l can just keep Walking On instead of digging it up and finding out that It is and that's how it was with the Simplex + , great Quarter tone Junk Target...... FINDER And they said that they have No MORE Updates for the Simplex +...... 👎 And it's on the Discontinued Detector List of Notka Macro Product's as of 2021 and I only found out because I was looking for another update for the Simplex + to help with the EMI Problem's that It has but instead I have traded it up to get a Minelab Equinox 600 .....

    The target stability on those two high conductors was superior audibly on the XT Pro….the signals were strong, pleasant to the ear, and more importantly, weren’t jumping.
    If I had to lift the coil off the ground on deep targets and create an air gap to get a better signal on my machine, I’d be looking for another machine….I never had to do this with my Explorer or Nox…I want to scrub the dirt/grass as low as I can go to gain every last millimeter to hear the deepest/faintest target signals I’m locating.

    • @MrBottlecapBill
      @MrBottlecapBill Před rokem +6

      You are creating an air gap, otherwise you're plowing. Unless you never hunt anywhere with grass or leaves or uneven ground? Get real. Single frequency machines always produce a more stable tone........that's one of the advantages. Multi has tones competing for each other giving different results which translates into more jumpy tones unless the software is dumbed down to compensate. That's why most multi machines also have single frequency options and why people often say to double check targets in single frequencies, because multi isn't always the best option. It's better in heavy iron and that's about it.

    • @captnse
      @captnse Před rokem +3

      @@MrBottlecapBill When I hunt the turf or dirt I “scrub” the ground…I have never needed to lift my coil off the ground when I hunt…for 40 years!! Never! Get real! You are missing the deepest of targets at the fringe of the machine’s capabilities if you’re lifting your coil off the ground to detect targets…as far as multi-freq vs single freq, you’re only fooling yourself if you think single freq produces more stable target ID’s at depth …. You wouldn’t need to be switching over to single frequency if you have a multi-freq machine…..I have found thousands of deep silver coins and tens of thousands of wheat pennies, Indians, Buffalo/V nickels, tokens, sterling/gold jewelry, from very trashy, turn of the century parks loaded with low conductive non-ferrous trash and iron in moderate to heavy EMI, and I can count on one finger the targets I found on single frequency operation……Having said the above, I’m not asking you to change your choice of machine or style of hunting that you’re the most familiar with……keep detecting the way you feel is best for you.🤓👍🏼

    We greatly appreciate your unbiased tests Mr C, I think you are the best youtube channel for assessing and comparing metal detector performance. I have to say the Xterra Pro is mighty impressive, really nice tones and stable target ID. The ability to change frequency & recovery speed is a bonus too - as much as I love the Simplex - this looks to be the new mid-point quality detector out there. Not tried the Legend personally, maybe at some time in the future. Personally my favourite performing detector to date is the Rutus Atrex with multi-frequency (v2 i think). I just wish Rutus would join the party with a built in rechargeable battery & telescopic stem - bring the machine up to date! I have just ordered an XTerra Pro on the basis of your reviews - should be with me in a couple of days. Looking forward to comparing with my Deus mk1 and Orx. All the best from UK, happy hunting!

      He had one in the past, it was one of his deepest machines from what I remember. Problem is they suffer when in a high EMI zone, they're heavy and don't do as well in heavy iron if you're afraid to dig. I have a Kruzer which is very similar. Great machine unless you like to cherry pick.

      Hello friend. He probably does not own one. If you send him yours, I am sure he would compare them. I would trust him with any of my high end detectors. 👍
