My Spanish name will be Mikail Salvador Salas. My father's surname is Salvador García and my mother's surname is Salas Mañalac. It's so easy
¡Qué bien! Gracias por practicarlo 💟

HOLA , break the name down PL.
Hola,
My name would be Fernando Gallegos Hernandez.
I wished my parents had followed the tradition of naming myself and my sibligs
Que tenga buen día
Timoteo Leland Fragomeni Plata
😍💛
I just searched for why do spanish have long names because of
Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz Picasso
My name is Jose de Jesus segundo torre negra de la casa Santamaría
My name is Shannen Allysa Garzon Coronell I'm proud to be Latina/hispanic
how do you say maiden name? is it the same as last name?
Apellido de soltera
In English speaking countries we can easily tell who is in the family by the last name. The parents, children, and the extended family on the man’s side are easily understood to be related.
Is in confusing on the Spanish side? Or does it just flip it to the women’s side?
¡Muchas gracias por tu comentario! ♥ I'm not sure I understand your question. It's not confusing for us because It's a Spanish cultural tradition for most families to have 2 last names, the first from your father's side and the second from your mother's side. Many Spanish and Latin American people have 2 last names.
Ahmed ali claiph
Mi nombre is Chloe
Ibrahim Ali Abo El Eyoon Abo raya :D
Second name is actually called middle name but I don't have a middle name I have a father's name instead and last name
lesson in english !!!
Mi nombre es romins
¡Muy parecido a Romina! guau!! jajaja
HI Romina , so you are saying is , Add the Last 2 Surnames of your husband to your maiden surnames ; de + 2 Surnames ? ==so you have 4 surnames ? yours + your husband's . PL. let me know
No, basically you have 2 last names. The first is your father's last name and the second is your mother's last name. If you get married you can add to your last name de + your husband's father's last name. Por ejemplo, my father is Carlos Salas, my mum is Graciela Romaniello. My name is Romina Salas Romaniello. If I get married to Juan Pérez Gonzalez, then I can use my name as Romina Salas Romaniello de Pérez. Does it make sense? It's a lot of names rights? 😄
@@HolaSpanish Hola R.C. , it took me 5 months of search to find out how it works , everyone tells you what the child's name will be & not the wife's !!
Muchas Gracias Sra. R.C.S.R. I got it & understood it ..
Naming yourself "de" is even worse that giving up your own last name. You're not property! "De" has always sounded so awful to me...
@@TheSpanishNotebook Zulema , it's just a custom since last few centuries ; doesn't mean that the husband or his fam; owns you like a thing .There's fem. lib you are free like a butterfly . It's just that you are now attached to that fam ; when you are married . The in- laws have a new son too , does not mean that they have a new house boy & the in-laws expect him to call them by mom & pop ; not mr. & mrs. Louzan !!! You carry your parent's name , don't mean they own you .. it's how you look at the problem & situation !! you should not be or feel ashamed to carry your husband's name if you are going to live with him for the rest of your life !! your daughter will have 2 names !!
look at men who have 6 to 8 names !! Why ?? Spanish Tradition , or like in U.S.
smith - torres ; cohen - melandez
It is becoming popular in Canada for women to take the surname of her husband and keep her maiden name, creating a hyphenated surname; Wilson-Smith, Pickett-Moreno, etc.
I have no idea how those parents name their children.
The child would probably share the hyphenated name too
スペイン語を話す人々は、名前が長くて覚えるのも書くのも大変ですね。
