Wes Barker is a Canadian magician and comedian doing funny tricks, and telling great stories. You may know me from my TV show Big Trick Energy (truTV, HBOmax, Netflix). Watch here for hilarious, ridiculous, and unfiltered ideas with magic, stunts, and pranks. Either I'm the funniest magician who is also a stand-up comic, or maybe I'm the comic who is the best at magic? Either way you get the idea. I tour all over doing colleges, comedy clubs, and corporate events. Catch the adventures and tricks right here. With this magician / comedian from Vancouver, based out of Toronto, Canada. I make funny stuff. That’s my only rule. Everything has to be funny, from street magic to stage illusions, as long as there is a joke to be made. I do magic tricks, sketches, stand-up comedy, card tricks, mind reading, and tricks with naked people. I’ve been on America’s Got Talent, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, MTV Greatest Party Stories Ever, and Wizard Wars. You can find me pulling pranks on friends, gags on strangers, or just general sleight of hand, magic, illusions, and the occasional bar bet. Wes Barker also hosts a podcast with Chris Ramsay called Bottom Of The Barrel. Go check it out! - Zábava
Currently buried alive, 32 hours going strong. Oxygen level a bit low. Just thought I'd leave my like.
😆 🍻
Should have changed your account name to Anthony Britton for the comment
I would have loved to hear if you had any close calls. Maybe none of them weren't dangerous or near injuries. But there were a couple of times I saw Wes wobble a little bit and you see that face. These videos are always the best when you share a little bit about your own story.
2nd to none keepin’ the newbies safe. ~Smile oN
Love the new set up for the videos. The lighting is 🔥
In the case of Princess Tenko (or any magician, I guess), shouldn't she have some kind of signal to let them know that she'd caught a snag and wasn't in position?
Complacency is a killer.
I'm glad you put as much time as possible into the don't try this at home speech. It was thoughtful, concerned, and passionate.
By the way, I loved when you blew yourself up, in front of family.
(It cut away too quickly, I would have had, your obligatory, stunned MC moment.)
WES IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
These stories from history are so interesting! Looking forward to more of them.
I appreciate your edit on the middle for clarity. I also like that no one died, unlike your other episodes which are too gruesome for my tastes. I don't find enjoyment in hearing or seeing people seriously injured or dying.
I had a close call once at a local bar I was doing a signed card transpo and I done a pass and didn’t have my timing down and suffered a paper cut! I was in excruciating pain but I stuck it out and finished the trick I had 14 shots of Patron Silver for the pain and was able to get home to a Band Aid.
Magician Reacts:
CATS Magical Mr. MISTOFFELES sequence...was done on Broadway stage live, but video has Holly-Magic touches....
5:00 nah you didn’t come off any kinda way. Especially with the cut in while editing, you’re clear. Hey love your stuff, and your deck!
Great stuff, man!
Wes the best
Great video Wes
Awesome stories. I have to go look up that david blaine one now.
great video
Not a magician, but I had a close call yesterday when I tripped and fell into the concrete steps leading into my house. I feel so stupid just for that!
You are the best. Let’s add some more reaction videos and how they did it cideos
Your best vid!
Kinda suprised how crude the gag was for the bullet catch. Given the resources available to Blaine, I'd have though it would be possible to make a safer bullet trap to go into his mouth. But I guess that's the challenge in making an illusion like this, so having something small that can be easily palmed and inserted vs a more complex appliance. I bet the conversations with his lawyers and producers got interesting as well.
Excellent as always, Wes - really enjoyed this man. Thanks for sharing #2ndtonone
When I was a child there was a magic trick with face cards and the performer would show the cards and place them in four different piles. They should have been all mixed up but after saying that after someone knocked at the door, they all returned to their own houses. Would you know of that trick? I seem to remember that it involved only simple manipulations.
17th bishes!
why would someone whos stuck in a box not scream out if something went wrong. Wouldnt the magician then do some magic movements to buy some time or stop the trick completely?
Honestly, I understand your frustration with the buried alive dude. As an escape artist, you can't leave anything to chance, it's incredibly irresponsible to go into an act like that blindly. Legally, morally, and for the art of Escapology, you have no idea what the repercussions are.
If you're not gonna spend Mr Beast money on experts, don't do the buried alive trick..
Umm. That sounds like solid advice.
I thought this would be the videos rather than a long narration 😔
Sounds like Brittan (sp?) "borrowed" website code from a golf site, put in a little bit of his own information, called it good. Not a good sign for a guy planning to do dangerous things.
