Nice vid Kevin. Im waiting to receive mine😉 I'have a dude. In the Screen Grab, I understand why you hooked up wire CH.OUT1 and CH.OUT2 from the Nano to the Rx and TX FC Uarts. I understand too, that the CH.OUT4, from the Nano has to wired up to the SmartAudio/CRSF RX1 from the Evo. But I do not understand why you has hooked up too a second wire from CH.OUT3 from Nano to CRSF TX1. Does really necesary to hook up two both wires to get SmartAudio trough the EVO or we could skip to wire the CH.OUT3?
Because the RX and the VTX are not talking to each other via smart audio but via CRSF. That way the VTX has all the telemetry data from the FC to display on the OSD. Also with CRSF data the VTX receives the stick position so you can use the osd menu for changing vtx and osd settings.

im changing away from this method. for me i cant fly more than 20m with out if failsafe.. all wired the same, nano rx, unify evo.. gunna try another way, not working for me.. not having luck with anything, im close to not being in this hobby
That first flying music track was insane. You nailed it 100%. Flying was just in sync with the flying.
Holy crap, the FPV camera identifies the channel.... that is way bad ass. I don't own a TBS vtx yet. Damn that is cool.
Thanks for showing us the EVO. I learned a lot and will use it in at least two quads this year. That first flight footage made me feel like I was exploring an MC Escher scene where no direction was true “up”.

Sorry if this comes across as raging on RR, i feel RR chocked fpv content. Now that the OG FPV pilots that most of us got inspired from are going their own way again and making their own content, i feel its going back to the good old days where the true fun was had. Skitzo clowning around in the background is a classic example. Keep up the good work Stingy and the Atlanta crew.

They definitely need to include a longer cable! Only way the short one would work is if you mount the vtx to the top plate, but this s no good in 20mm stack frames.

I hope they continue making the basic Unify and Unify HV. About a 10 buck reduction in their price would be the best improvement they could make IMO.

LMAO the shirt worked really quick. Perhaps TBS should make an "armed detect" feature so it wont be able to change mid flight? That way some of the GA crew isnt trolling you with some random billboards put out around your bandos. Come around a power loop to see a bar code on the ceiling...

Hi Kevin! Awesome Video as usual...i´m having problems with my EVO....everything is up to the latest Firmware and the vtx is working properly, but the OSD refuses to stay in Frame....it flickers, rolls out and sometimes even disapears completely! I´m running F1 RevoltOSD, Crossfire Nano Rx and a Foxxer Arrow Mini Pro camera…..tried changing OSD Level from 1 to 9....nothing changes….is fair to say that all the OSD info (Volt, LQ,RSSI, etc) works perfect…..I Need help Kevin! XD Thank you very much and Keep up the good work!!!

Stinger swarm, on your diagram you have Smart audio/CRSFrx, however on the actual unit there’s no mention of smart audio. Does the EVO have smart audio out?

Mine is:
•Tbs Evo upgraded to 1.0.5v. Betaflight 4.0.4. On BF Ports tab SerialRx enabled on UART6.
•CH.OUT1 and CH.OUT2 from the Nano Receiver wired up to the Rx and TX FC Uarts. CH.OUT4, from the Nano has to wired up to the SmartAudio/CRSF RX1 from the Evo. CH.OUT3 from Nano to CRSF TX1.

So, when I trying to go into the Vtx menu with the sticks(Throttle Down Yaw Left) the Vtx Menu does not appear.

hello Kevin, your videos really super helpful for me. i fly the same set up as you do, i have a thing that doesn't work for me, i don't get smart audio on my crossfire. you show in the video how to call the menu with the left stick. I connected the crossfire nano exactly as you described it. on channel 4 on the RX I have set smart audio, what do I set at channel 3? greeting manni
The setup I use in the video is crsf not smart audio. Watch it again. Set channels 3 and 4 to crsf tx and rx.
