Get the 4x4 Tahoe 😁😋
That Tahoe looks to be in great shape and like it was well maintained. It had a large stereo in it at one point, and looks to have a high output alternator even. That should go cheap and would be a great buy I think. They are pretty bulletproof and the barn doors are one of my favorite features on those older GM SUVS.
The 4l60E went PNNNNN lol. They are cheap enough to swap out, however. I'd drive the heck out of it with a new trans.
That Tahoe definitely had a pretty big sound system in it at some point in its life. That blue screen in the cabin, when powered on, is a voltage meter. It's probably wired into the radios remote wire, which is probably why it wasn't working since the radio is gone, and that alternator looks to be a high output alternator to help support the system that was in it
And it had skar super tweeters in the door
Bet that Tahoe would last a long time with proper care. Might make a cool video
That Chevy Tahoe is a good buy. You should bid on it 👍👍
I don't like anything GM past 2006. I'd bid on that Tahoe. 4x4 and barn doors too.
With all the new vehicles you've recently brought Randy you need to do us a good 2 hour video 😁 Hell I would watch the crap out of it ha ha ha 😉😁👍🙂👍
That old Tahoe is worth saving …. So clean
Get that tahoe! I have a 97 with a built transmission and it tows 7k-8klbs trailers like a beast, those 5.7s were built to last you just have to take care of the transmissions which is very cheap and easy to do on your own
I'd buy that in a heart beat. I love that generation tahoe
Those tahoe run good if you take care of them
Exactly.
I still drive my 99 suburban, same colour and never ever want to get rid of it. 130k miles on it now, recently redid some front suspension components and it drives like new with the original steering box. Body is still holding up after all these Canadian winters. Can’t beat the knee room of these before they put the centre floor consoles in. When I finally have to replace it, will likely be a fly and drive GMT 800, all the 800s are rusted out up here. Thanks for another great video!
Considering your use case for a 1/2 ton I think you should get one of the 3.0 EcoDiesels or 3.0 Duramax, or if you could find one, a 3.0 Powerstroke
that 99 tahoe is one amazing truck and will outlast anything on the road today, ask me how i know lol
Love the Tahoe u should snag that up randy
Man I swear obs chevys are just so unique an cool solid trucks that are work of arts
I would love to see the 4x4 Tahoe obs on the channel most likely just needs a transmission flush
Hi Randy, can you take a look at that ForesterXT in the backround when you get a chance? thanks Randy 👍 behind the TLX
You cant beat that model tahoe man. And i had the next gen 1999 sierra with the first year 5.3 vortec and i had over 300k miles on it when i got rid of it and it still ran perfect and was still on the original transmission
I would love to see that tsx on the channel, you should go back to it with the booster pack
Awesome like the way you ended that video can't wait to see that ss
I am so happy ya got that Raptor! I remember the new one you had, and you guys had a blast in it. A tow beast.
Thanks for the update.
Nice start to my school day! Keep it up randy love it!
Hi Randy, I think the 2007 and 2008 Denali 6.2 didn't have active fuel management yet. If it's one you are interested in you can check if the engine valley cover is just a flat aluminum plate, then it doesn't have it.
Yes that is correct.. my 2007 Yukon Denali 6.2 Does not have active fuel management … it’s got the flat valley under the intake and I love mine drive it everywhere 186,000 miles still running strong !
Yeah, that's what I thought, I have a 2008 Denali that doesn't have it either@@joshwebber3553
Vary awesome collection indeed. Keep up the great work.
Great video randy 👍 like the video
Thanks for these amazing videos keep up the good work stay safe and godbless
Love the vids
The Tahoe got s nice system love them get that and they reliable especially the older ones
I have a 2014 TSX with 110k miles. It’s been a great car. Zero issues. Would 100% buy again.
You have 4 including the 7.3 at Uncle Ron's house. Can't wait to see that attempt to Oklahoma.
Transmission fluid on the Tahoe XL may be low.
That Chevy SS.❤ You have to get it.🎉🎉🎉 Can't wait for the video
Looks like that Tahoe used to have a stereo system that would explain the missing radio and little display on dash, the display prob was for voltage
Nice show Randy best in the world! Love from Africa Kenya!
I own a 2010 TSX, best daily driver in the world.
lovin the Raptor can't wait to see it
me too
Great video
I love the TSX I just got my wife a RL a month ago and I'm thinking that a TSX is going to be our next upgrade
Hey Randy, if you made a checklist of categories for CZcams automotive channels with items like: enthusiasm, variety, knowledge, sincerity, warmth personal interaction and sharing you’re probably The only one that checks all the boxes! Regarding this post, the test drive that Tahoe shows the importance of needing to do a test drive before you buy! Also, I can’t imagine anyone getting angry or upset by what you might say about a car! That being said Thanks so much for the daily doubles!
Hey Randy, if you made a checklist of categories for CZcams automotive channels with items like: enthusiasm, variety, knowledge, sincerity, warmth personal interaction and sharing you’re probably The only one that checks all the boxes
That TSX is mint here in the Bahamas we love ACURA an Hondas
Tahoe might be worth a shot especially if it goes for nothing. I think the boxy headlight tahoes only tow around 5000-6000, shouldn't really matter if you get it for dirt cheap and since Oklahoma is flat.
That Tahoe is nice, 👍👍👍👍. I would definitely buy it
Much love and support from Boston ❤
I changed a turbo on one of those Audis and it was a nightmare. Those 2.0 vw engines are junk. They are worn out at around 80k
Yup and timing chains love too grenade the engine around 100K
No doubt. I just had a Audi A4 as a rental with the 2.0 turbo. Fun to drive but those things don’t last much past 80-100k.
You walked past the landrover discovery be interesting to have a look around it
I had an F150 with the 2.7 that was rated for 9000lbs of towing, crewcab 2WD
I would love to see that Tahoe on the Channel
Can always tell a Tahoe from Suburban with the 2nd row door having a curve to accommodate the shorter Tahoe wheelbase. Suburban 2nd row doors are square...like the Avalanche which is on the Suburban chasis. Nice 👍.
Nice Tahoe!!!
U should totally check out that 07 Yukon Denali most likely it don’t have the active fuel management great suv now after mid 07 the engines are junk unless u take care of them thanks for the content keep the videos coming
6:21 For future reference, to switch between screens on an Audi, you use the buttons on the wiper stalk. One on the end and one on the underside.
Tahoe is a must
Randy the F150's you have won't last you long because you can't keep a vehicle for more than 2 minutes, it's in your nature!!!
Tahoe looks like it has a volt meter for a stereo system but that could be a decent tow rig.
Yeah, saw the 2021 Volvo. Xc40 is small, I agree. XC60 is a bit better. But you did pass the Volvo C70. If that's a T5, it is a fairly fun car. 5 cylinder turbo that is mostly bullet proof. If you ever find a Volvo S80 T6 or V8... you have found something I like.
I cannot wait till you check out that australian Chevy SS... should be a good track car!
Wow!! I thought the 2.7 Ecoboost was rated for 8000 pounds of towing. When I google it, the numbers are all over the place. I guess it depends on if it is a crew cab or a super cab, 2 or 4 wheel drive and of course the gear ratio.
according to the Ford brochure the number is 7600-9000 lbs depending if it has a 3.55 or 3.73. i had a 2001 1500 Chevy ext cab with the V6 and that was 5900 lbs so that has to be able to tow way more then 5k lbs
2019 F150 towing guide for the 2.7 EBoost Supercrew 4WD is as follows:
3.55 Gearing - 7600 lbs
3.73 Gearing - 8000 lbs
I’d love to see the tahoe on the channel
I have a ford zx4 with 280k miles on it and she still runs great
the 99 tahoe has the spider injection fuel system, good when they work bit of a pain to replace when one or a few go out.. can find a good used trans, 4l60e for under 500 usually.. i would get one made betweeen 2000 and 2006 with the 5.3 tho if it was me, or a 2500 suburban with the 6.0 and 4l80e
Congratulations on the raptor.
That Tahoe is indestructible get it
I really like that Tahoe randy just throw a trans in it and make it the daily car hauler
very nice tahoe id love to have it.
Randy we still waiting on the crown vic it it about 3months come on randy pls😢
That Tahoe deserves a chance
u r right . when u stop on it i hear the slippin . that what do . cause if u in a a spot and neeed it to respond . that u want it to do what it should.
The old Tahoes are tanks. Poor gas mileage but will never die.
Get the Tahoe transmissions for those are cheap and easy 4l60s are everywhere
The tahoe might need a cabin filter to make it blow better...that engine is the 5.7 I had in a 3500 work truck for my landscape business...runs forever plowed snow with it towed trailers loaded, never a failure...
That's a nice 99 tahoe I have a 02 with 250k excellent truck
That's a nice Tahoe
I have a ‘23 F150 King Ranch, my payment is $1,603/month for 6 years. It’s a lot of money but I enjoy it.
damn.
Not sure where you got your info on the towing capacity, but I’ve been selling fords for 5 years. The 2.7 4x4 can tow 9,000 pounds. The Ranger with the 2.7 is capped at 5k, but not the F150.
Randy you passed up a v8 buick lucerne! Has the same frame as a caddillac. Hope you get the tahoe!
Wish it was in Florida I need that Yukon xl for the parts lol
I would like to see a Tahoe on the channel.
I can watch your videos all day ,you educated people on these cars .Great job 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hey Randy, I just watched last nights video that you posted around midnight this morning. You do a fantastic awesome job on these walk around either at Copart or a AAA or this dealers auto auction. You do a fantastic job on everything you do and I watch every video that you have out like I said before you are like very close to me even though we have a met, I watch every video that you have out and when you put new ones down, I watch those be honest with you. between you and monkey wrench Mike, you both are my Fantastic CZcamsrs, which I also like TJ’s garage to but you and monkey wrench. Mike are my two favorite CZcamsrs. I’ll see you on the next video man. I’ll be watching Ford. Talk to you later have a good day.
If that tahoe goes cheap get it. Them transmissions are cheap and easy to fix. That's a clean relic
my 96 silverado z71 228k still runs strong
I would "definitely ignore" those who don't think a person should really test out a vehicle. Prior to buying my 2009 Mustang my cousin and I test drove it. My cousin hammer it so hard in 2nd (standard trans) he had the end hopping. If a vehicle won't take a bit of abuse, don't buy it !! Looking forward to seeing the Raptor. Still have a good home waiting for the white Mustang GT. LOL
It's also my understanding the 2.7 V6 F-150 has a governor that kicks in at 104 mph.
5000# towing with a 2.7L F-150? Jeez! My Wife’s ‘21 Buick Enclave has 7500# capacity! Maybe these things are the reason I ordered a ‘22 Chevy 2500HD w/6.6L L8T gas engine? The towing capacity was almost as much as the F-250 w/6.7L Power-smoke? AND heavier suspension!
System in it😮
10:56 its a digital volt meter reader for Car Audio
Please try a 6.7 powerstroke I promise you won’t regret it man
Could check out that dodge journey if its the GT with the V6 it would definitely be worth it there good ones
Hey Randy, can you please try to review a Acura TL?😊
Got a question on all these vehicles why do they have the wind shield wipers up
Randy 0 - 60 is not abusive, that is common HWY on-ramp speed.
Randy will be nice if you bought the Tahoe man and just replace the transmission . Make it worth our while man we like seeing you walk around and do your little walk around stuff but we lost want to see you put some work in
Like videos man 👨 good afternoon my friend hope are saying cool
Cool SS
I haven’t even bought a new truck yet but I like my 90s model shitboxes tbh 😂 and early 2000s. I’d take that obs Tahoe over any newer suv
3:24 F150 2018 coyote for 8k? am I hearing this right? Also whenever you mentioned $1100 truck payment I assumed that was a 4 or 5 year loan. not a 7 year damn. Did they screw you over with trade in value on the trx? how does that even happen?
Last week at my auction we sold a 2013 F150 Coyote for 3k
My 97 cavalier with 170k miles doesn't have ac but a 250k Tahoe does I swear my luck just sucks
If you don’t mind me asking, where do you post the cars you sell?
