@@edenkoipond HaHa, we’re all getting older mate…. Thats what putting me off uncovering my last pond and rebuilding the top half to get it up and running. Quite a lot involved, including disrupting the recent build, plus I’ve got so many other things needing done around the house before I could even consider it. So I’ll be even older by the time they are done. 😂🤣

Looking very tidy, love the jacket on the tempest. Have you noticed any difference in the fish behaviour since removing the bakki shower
100% yes. They swim more freely, shoal together more and just generally seem less spooked 👍🏼👍🏼

Do you think the waste pipe in the shed could become problematic for regular blockages due to the diameter? Especially when the drum starts stripping algae out in the summer, just a thought. 😘
I don’t think it could become and issue……. Because it already has 😂 I shouldn’t have scrimped on the pipework being tight and buying smaller because it’s cheaper 🤦🏼♂️ Currently have it detached from the gully as it blocks with leaves. It’s always been ok up to now because I manually washed the filter so could keep the flow slow…. Should have gone with 60mm at very least 😂🤦🏼♂️
how does your overflow work? I see you have an aftermarket on the nexus and you have one added on the tempest line you just done.
I have no overflow and its something I got to add
My original overflow was in the nexus. Used a simple kockney koi tank connector and a 90 degree bend. If you don’t glue it, you have the option to turn it in either direction to raise/lower. My new overflow is just a hose connection mounted on a 25mm drilled hole in my skimmer. I only moved it as my trickle in will be going into the nexus 👍🏼

Hi Kevin. You can cut anything from around 80mm up to 120mm’ish. The larger the hole the lower the tempest sits in the bracket. I always go for the 100-120mm range 👍🏼

To be fair that’s my pond and heated grow on. I’d plead poverty but it’s my own fault 😂😂😂
