For these cars I really wouldn't bother with stage 1, just go to at least single pulley stage 2. With only an intake advised by most tuners, it isn't essential that the cooling gets upgraded, it's only when you go dual pulley that the IAT's are needing controlled. The main reason for going stage 2 to start with is the cost. Most tuners (in the UK at least) won't give you a discount for going up a stage, it costs around £1600 for a stage 2 package, add another 600 if doing the TCU as well. Stage 1 alone is around 750, but if ever looking to go bigger you are always looking at the full quoted price for S2/2+/3. For example my B8 S4 is putting out 480hp/600nm with a single pulley stage 2 MRC pack. No issues with IAT's, although I don't track the car or hit it with consistent hard runs/launches. I considered going dual pulley stage 3 but for the overall increase from the current output I just can't justify shelling out 5k for what is in reality not a huge increase from the already brilliant stage 2 from MRC. The 5k I quoted includes the water/meth,HPFP, relocated (or gutted) cats and FMIC upgrades recommended to compliment the standard stage 3 kits on offer.

Reason bought mine checking local inventory came across rare 2011 B8 color pearl metallic gray that looked light nardo color blueish dolphin but gray silver appeal in a 6 speed with dynamic sport differential I could not pass up. Drove it beat cars on the freeway and launched it supposedly new clutch which it was still grabbing hard til this day then made the purchase. Turns heads slammed H&R coilovers, ecs sheetmetal undercarriage cover protection on 2018 S5 sportback cavo factory wheels. Best car I own which I also have Alpine white 01 E39 M5 share time with!
