Railway Fires! - MFD Responding

At approximately 4PM on May 22, 2024, Moncton Fire Department received multiple reports of a brushfire along the railway in the vicinity of Highway 2 & Berry Mills.

Car 3
Were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, car 3 relayed spot fires were visible along the railway as far as they could see.

Were requested to also attend
CN POLICE closed the railway to all train traffic to allow firefighters to work.
The fires were extinguished within a few hours.
