To be honest killing Mettaton, Muffet, Asgore, Undyne, and the other bosses can be justified in self defense. They were legit trying to kill you. Toriel wasn't trying to kill you, she was trying to deter you (though she can kill you by accident), and Papyrus wasn't trying to kill you either.

I think the main reason I like Papyrus so dang much is mainly because of the fact that he says the strangest things every now and then, and I genuinely can't tell whether he's joking or not when that happens.
Honestly, as much as sans is crazy for not caring about the other people you slaughtered. It makes sense why he doesn’t care you killed them. In game, sans has said over and over how Toriel is his best friend and Papyrus is the coolest brother. Honestly, sans didn’t care for anyone else because Undyne was aggressive to you, it’s justified to kill her, Mettaton tried to kill you multiple times (even if it was an act, the human didn’t know that at first), Asgore pretty much begs you to kill him, and Flowey calls sans the “smiley trash bag”. Sans probably doesn’t even know muffet. There’s no spider bake sales at Snowdin, and his hot dog stand in Hotland is REALLY far away from the room you fight muffet. Also think if it this way. Toriel and Papyrus were the only ones who didn’t want to fight you. Toriel fights you to protect you from king Asgore, even if she doesn’t want to hurt you. And Papyrus clearly proves over and over when doing the puzzles that he doesn’t want to hurt you either. And just wants to be your friend (for example, the puzzle on the bridge. Some people think the puzzle simply wasn’t working, but come on. The GREAT PAPYRUS clearly knows that puzzle could’ve easily killed the human. And he says in game that he “pities” you and “will be your friend”). So yeah, sans doesn’t care that you killed everyone else because no one else cared for your safety. Toriel and Papyrus are the pure characters, which is why they are special in my heart
In my opinion, he doesn't care because no matter how hard he tries, it's all going to be reset, that things are not worth trying to anymore, and the fact that he even mentioned it in game. And Papyrus was the only family he had. I wouldn't blame him if he was pissed when you killed him. Imagine if you was in his shoes. You are facing many complications on your life and then he's going to watch you slaughter his brother. Out of all the monsters in the whole underground, you chose to kill the most innocent, adorable, caring and kindest person you've met. I respect your opinion btw

You know, endings like these say alot about Sans' character. He does doesn't really seem to care about how many people you kill as long as Payrus and maybe Toriel are alive. Undyne died? Eh, no big deal. Mettaton is dead? Eh, not his problem. Every one else is dead? As long as he didn't lay a finger on his bro and goat mom. Yet the game treats him as a figure of judgement. Sure, if your exp is higher than one, he gives you a lecture about how you're not that much of a good person, but really, it's more like a teacher grading a test than actual judgement. He is still a great character and the best final boss, but not someone that really cares that much about you're kill count, just those who you killed.
+Ian Lohan X2 NM and Genocide are two entirely different things. In No Mercy, you kill anything that engages into battle with you. In Genocide, you kill absolutely EVERYTHING.
Mind me asking something... I might sound kind of stupid but still... Anyone else notice when you are doing an action an * apears before it? It tells you stuff like "*You ate the monster candy." Why dose Sans speach have an * before he speaks? Could we be having some kind of hint?
This is, in my opinion, the second best neutral ending. The best is definitely when you do everything in the pacifist run except true lab. That ending is pretty happy. The third is only spare papyrus. The ending just oddly satisfying for some reason.

If you spare everyone but not asgore toriel will say “Human who fell down will be friends.” Then all monsters disagree then Undyne will rule then Undyne says “All human fall down will be enemies and must die!”
I got a ending similar to this sans was saying toriel made a new policy then undyne overthrown toriel then toriel was forced to live in the ruins then sans was living with her then at the end sans said "I'm too heartless to tell her the things you did

You can argue that this is one of the best endings morally cause everyone tries to kill you except those 3 as papyrus even puts you in a spot where you can escape when he wins

It just makes you think about how much thought was put in this game they have an ending for every possible decision
You know, endings like these say alot about Sans' character. He does doesn't really seem to care about how many people you kill as long as Payrus and maybe Toriel are alive. Undyne died? Eh, no big deal. Mettaton is dead? Eh, not his problem. Every one else is dead? As long as he didn't lay a finger on his bro and goat mom. Yet the game treats him as a figure of judgement. Sure, if your exp is higher than one, he gives you a lecture about how you're not that much of a good person, but really, it's more like a teacher grading a test than actual judgement. He is still a great character and the best final boss, but not someone that really cares that much about you're kill count, just those who you killed.

Anyone else notice when you are doing an action an * apears before it? It tells you stuff like "*You ate the monster candy."
Why dose Sans speach have an * before he speaks? Could we be having some kind of hint?
It might be because of the fact that it was only showing the two here...
Almost every character in the game speaks with * except for Papyrus.

This is, in my opinion, the second best neutral ending. The best is definitely when you do everything in the pacifist run except true lab. That ending is pretty happy. The third is only spare papyrus. The ending just oddly satisfying for some reason.

no, annoying dog ending is every boss (toriel, papyrus, undyne, mettaton, and asgore) dies and no norm monster killed.
Best ending. Toriel didn't even truly attack you in the end, and Papyrus is trying to capture you. Everyone else is a fair target, especially Undyne and spider girl. Fuck them.
