    I would love to see the patio on something without the side windows! Maybe a super slide and opposing slides for the living area! I realize this will add a considerable amount of weight but that would be an ideal layout in my opinion. Also it would be cool to see some type of tie down hooks hidden around the patio for things like a generator, firewood, or even a grill.

    I think taking the bottom shelf out of the pantry and putting a washer dryer combo hookup would be the icing on the cake for this!! 🥰
    Also needs to come with window covers for driving at least the snaps put on for us and we can purchase the covers separately..
    Love the design not a fan of pass through bathrooms but for the big windows and the patio would look pass that.
    Also residential fridge would also put this over the edge with greatness! lol

    This isn't a unit that I myself would buy primarily because it doesn't quite check all my boxes and looks a bit small for me.... however, I am in love with the fact that they gave the designer room to try something a bit different and actually brought this to market. Seriously, massive kudos to the designer for putting this package together, the design is awesome! And another kudos to Coachmen for actually taking a bit of a risk.
    I personally would love to see something like this in a 5th wheel (non-toy-hauler) or better yet, a class A, where there is a blending of outdoors and indoors and a most important, a good functional patio.

    @NanaGram Před 20 dny +3

    It's very nice. Really like how this back patio floorplan works. Concern on no screens/mosquito netting. And also the usability in Texas heat with all the gorgeous glass. Guessing the glass used is not an energy efficient product with the other low quantity fixtures used throughout? Like plastic sinks, toilets, and thermofoil counters. Guessing the plumbing is substandard, too? If they're offering this unit with better construction, it would be very tempting!! Would like a trash can area, a usable coffee pot area and ability to open the sliders with a screen.
    ALSO, FLOOR VENTS ARE NOT A COSMETIC CONCERN. THEY TRAP DIRT, HAIR, DUST, DOG/KIDS DEBRIS😢 AND MAKE THAT GO BACK INTO THE AIR.

    Hey JD, I hope you're having a great day! I love what Catalina is doing with this travel trailer. I like the whole setup of the inside of it. I do like that they took two sliding doors an turned them into windows, that's them thinking outside of the box! There are a few things that I would upgrade, the toilet, bathroom sink an the kitchen sink to start with. I do like that its got the heat vents in the floor. I would put the struts on the bed tos help hold the bed up stops make it easier to get to the storage under the bed. I'm glad that the RV manufacturers are starting to think outside of the box an coming up with new units! Thank you JD for showing us this new Catalina travel trailer and giving us all the information on it. Your number one fan an friend Leonard from North Carolina.

    Really interesting. I was just commenting this weekend while camping that I wish there were better back patio options for people who don't want/need a toy hauler. I am a bit surprised to see it in what seems to be a bit of a price point unit. Some areas such as the plastic toilet and the countertops feel like concessions to try and keep the MSRP palatable but next to other things like that projector, they feel like cheaping out. I'll give them a 9/10 for creativity, but a 7 for implementation. All in all, love the concept and I hope to see more non toy hauler patios or other concepts to bring the view inside.

However, I would like to move the queen bed to the left wall, I think I can do it or order it that way. :) that would make more space. Everything else is so perfect! • @waynerhea6649
    @waynerhea6649 Před 21 dnem +3

    They should have really made those doors sliding i can see somone adding a porch to the side on some land and use it as a getaway rv. Definitely not for fulltiming i can see it getting super hot or cold in that rv and yes, you can close the blinds but then ur just in a dark rv atp. And it defeats the purpose of the windows. But on a beautiful fall or summer day, it would feel and look amazing to have windows 180 degrees around you

  • @journeyhome98
    @journeyhome98 Před 21 dnem +1

    They should have made that a full slide on the driver side. That way the space feels open.
    Who thinks corner sinks are a good idea? Make that a little L to make it, again, look bigger.
    Give people the option to have the sliders sealed or unsealed.
    Put an awning on both sides….with toy hauler doors on each side so you have almost a wrap around porch. It would protect the glass as well.
    I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE HUGE WINDOWS!
    I think w a few tweaks… this could be totally awesome.

    • @tonynet2709
      @tonynet2709 Před 21 dnem +1

      I like the galley as-is. The "breakfast bar" would function primarily as a food prep and serving area. I think a freestanding table in the dinette would be a good idea; it could be used on the "patio" as well. I agree with you on the full slide idea: our eyes would benefit from the extra distance between the sofa and that big screen. There's a ton of potential with this concept.

    I didn't hear you mention an MSRP. Do you have that info? A very interesting layout, but a lot of inexpensive things like plastic toilets and sinks, which I really don't care if they are or not, but don't want the high end price to go with it. If the sliding doors aren’t meant to be open then the area underneath the screen should have been an bank of base cabinets with drawers acting like a pantry and/or office niche for using the bar chairs. That would then open up more space for prep and appliances in the kitchen and the upright pantry cabinet you stated was too deep could have been coats and brooms.

    What's the point of that patio?
    In what situation would one spend time on there instead of under the much larger awning?
    I honestly don't get it.

    To many windows. RV windows allow too much heat/cold to pass through them. I’m sure your a/c unit would be running 24/7.

    Good concept, however floorplan and size needs work.

    I think it would be cool if they made a fiberglass and aluminum version instead of this stick and tin.

      That would be cool, but having it in stick and tin will make it affordable for some family who may not be able to get one otherwise.

    I don't know how I feel about a glass window behind the couch I don't like it when the couch is in the middle of the room I don't like it unless there's a wall behind the couch I feel exposed in that way imagine sitting there at night by yourself and that camper can you suddenly hear a tap tap tap on one of your glass windows how terrifying would that be

    Close off the toilet. Bummer to have no access to bedroom, especially if you have kids, guests.

    The reviewer is definitely opinionated. I would rather see and hear about the trailer and decide what I like about it. I like the kitchen design. Now let’s build it out of something more sturdy than sticks and tin.

    Poor quality cabinet tops, really?! Therma foil. No closet space for no more than 3 days no exterior storage, from kitchen back ok. Stick and tin, PASS

      They are to meet a price point and a usage scenario for sure. If you want something the same size but much higher end, they exist. Only need to pay 4x more.

    Not a fan of those massive windows on the sides. Imagine pulling that down the highway and a rock shatters one them? No thanks…
