Since you were talking about the bidet, I need to comment. I'm in the US, but I have a bidet - one that sprays high pressure water. In one of her lives, she was talking about how wonderful the bidet is and said "try cleaning up peanutbutter with toilet paper...it doesn't work!" Likewise, try just spraying water on peanutbutter -- I can assure you, there would still be PB stuck on. The bidet does help to achieve a clean finish, but only combined with TP. As a bidet user, I can assure you that just spraying water, without wiping, is NOT cleaning her. 🤮
I'm not sure how old you are, but do you remember the movie "Demolition Man"? If so, remember the 3 sea shell part? Is using a bidet um complicated? I've never used one😂 I'm just curious.😅
@@CheetoFireCatI'm 51, but have never seen that. My bidet is an attachment that sprays water from under the edge of the back of toilet bowl, with a dial on the side. No hose, just sprays directly. I got it from Amazon about five years ago and I highly recommend it -- it was super easy to install. It's great, as long as you also use TP! And it only sprays cold water, which can feel a bit shocking when it first sprays out 😂

Seeing as though she let BBJ slip into kidney failure, by not investigating or treating her UTI way back when Chantal took her to the vets for the last nail clip, she told the tech that BBJ's pretty litter stuff might've changed colour. Was told it was common in older cats and make another appt. I remember it.
She did nothing more for that cat, for either her claws or a urine screen.
Tiny smidge of universal irony there.
Her hypertension probably did a number on the kidney function- along with the uncontrolled T2, if that's the case, she may speed through the stages faster than most.

She is definitely NOT thinking of her health. She is only thinking about how this will effect her income. That’s it.
I had to do wound care for my late husband. He had a diabetic ulcer removed from the bend of his thigh (where the thigh meets the groin). It was so deep that you could see his leg joint! It took months to heal. He also had sepsis and necrotizing fasciitis. He was hospitalized for weeks. His insurance only covered 2 days a week for a nurse. Thankfully I have a medical background so I had to pick up the slack the rest of the 5 days of the week while pregnant and working a job.
I just wanted to give my condolances. My family and I recently had to do the same for my late father so I read this and I felt it in my heart. I really hope you're doing well now.
My condolences Ms. Lacey😢. I was a home health nurse for several years and I too took care of a wound like that. The gentleman was a bilateral BTKA and the wound was also in the groin. I had to clean and medicate then dress it 3 times a day. The look of that wound haunts me still. Hope you are doing well. ❤

It's hard to feel bad because #1 how dismissive she was of poor BBJ's health and #2 her consistent arrogance when being advised by professionals. My Uncle had diabetes and kept eating junk, he was never morbidly obese though. He gradually lost his eyesight and mobility and spent his last years in a hospice. I remember visiting him with family when i was young and he asked to feel my face because he never got to see what I look like. It was really sad. He was only in his 40s.
Sleep studies are improved these days for patient comfort. Now a days, a lot of places will send you home with easy to use equipment. You strap yourself up, sleep, then return all the equipment to the doctor the next day.
I just wanna add to this that I took mine online! Well, remotely using telemed. I have sleep issues and cPTSD so sleeping in a strange place was a really difficult sell for me but there are so many options.

Ok, how FB managed to live swimming in full clothes is beyond my comprehension. I’m almost 50, same height, but weight is around 116, my old ass barely made it down the ladder soaking wet with clothes! My daughter had to help! 🤣🤣🤣

Health lecturer Chantal is the worst Chantal. And considering she does absolutely nothing about it is even worse.
I feel like her issues will take her out like Life By Jen. It will be something simple that will spiral out of control and can’t be reversed.

I think her voice seems like she's nervous or ashamed the whole time because she's actually thinking about reality for once. I believe she's usually in a low-key state of dissociation where none of this is real to her.
You know, I think you have a really good point. I compare her to my pre-transition (transgender) self a lot. Not that she's the same or trans, but I've had a lot of dissociative experiences and I see a lot of my past behaviors in her and I've been suspecting that for a while. It feels a lot like derealization.

Blood tests determine kidney damage. It’s called Glomular Filtration Rate. The ability of kidneys to filter waste. And they also check a urine sample for the amount of protein she spills. I think it was like 92. Or that may have been a liver reading. I know it was very serious a year ago. Now it may not be manageable without dialysis.
She had bad kidney readings before Christmas when she had a previous diabetes arc. High protein in urine tests. And since then, she has not followed any doctor's instructions in this context.

I put money that she's in kidney failure. When I went to the doctor for what I thought may be a kidney infection they ran blood work to check the functioning. She knows.

One of my sisters got UTI, and she never did anything to take care of it. It went up into her kidneys and caused infection. She had to stay in thd hospital for a bit. She was a dirty meth user, and just didn't care about treating it when it first started.

Some diabetes management medications can damage organs so they're monitored with routine bloods. Chantel eats what she wants. Then takes extra medication to manage levels, causing damage. She then goes without medication for a while also causing damage and this is the position she's in at the moment. She also LOVES attention.
Chantal actually lost weight on Ozempjc before, for the first time in her adult life. She was also eating real food with cokey so that helped too. Amber and Chantal should both do ozempic, it would make for interesting content too!
She was supplementing it with ❄️ so that probably had a major part to play in her weight loss.
When I was diagnosed with diabetes, my blood sugar number was 753. I was lucky to make it to the emergency room! I changed my doctor. She missed the diagnosisas I was extremely overweight, sitting in the exam room with a HUGE water bottle and sucking on it like a hungry baby! I had to leave the appointment to visit the restroom! EXTREME fatigue. She missed it! But of course, nothing was wrong, I was just morbidly obese, 40, and a mother of 2 active toddlers! I ended up on insulin. My diabetes was cured when I had a gastric bypass with extreme (distal) malabsorption!
Kidney infections can be deadly really quickly. Do not mess around with those

When she starts getting dialysis, and I believe she will, she will need a surgery to have a permanent shunt placed in her arm for dialysis access. You earned it Cutie. “Do my part and pray”. She will do neither.
The whole issue about eating what you want and being happy at the expense of your health is that you won't just go all of a sudden from one day to the next. You'll lose limbs, have horrible ongoing health conditions. You'll go out but it'll be a horrible trip to the exit door. It amazes me with all the health history and conditions she's still not scared into actually doing something
My husband manages his T2 diabetes and his doctor is sooooooo careful about the meds he takes. Was switched recently because the one he was taking did not offer the kidney and cardiovascular protection she wanted for him. Point is ALL that shit she’s been told is REAL.

100 percent.. in a lot of countries outside the US, you can obtain a great deal of meds by just telling a pharmacist what the issue is..
The issue is, antibiotics are not across the board. Gram positive and gram negative bacteria require different meds.. also there is such a thing as interaction with other meds..
I believe for both issues the skin infection and this uti thing.. she got meds from a local chemist.. she gets her information from the internet..
I doubt it though. Most medications are prescription medications (at least in Europe) - antibiotics, insulin, heart, blood pressure, asthma, cholesterol medications, antidepressants, any psychotropic drug in general, specific medications for various diseases - you cannot simply ask for them and buy them at a pharmacy without a prescription. You can buy over-the-counter headache pills, herbal cough syrups, and cold medicines, something like that. Everything else over the counter is essentially supplements and vitamins.

Regarding life insurance, I only have experience with it in the United States, but I would assume the rules are similar in other countries. You can take out a policy on just about anyone (with some restrictions), but you must be able to demonstrate a reasonable insurable interest. If Salah and Chantal are in some kind of "special" marriage recognized by the state, or if they are unmarried but she is his primary means of support, then that would likely meet the criteria.
No, Chantal would never be insurable. Her health is extremely bad, she would never get insured.

You are correct, she will ignore treatment, they cannot afford Healthcare in Kuwait, i hope she has travel insurance (doubt it), so if anything goes sideways with her health she could be sent home.
Salah probably has an insurance policy out on her and is waiting for her to pass. BUT - do any of you remember before the Nader arc when Chantal took out a life insurance policy on herself? Maybe she put Salah as the beneficiary?
My mom had c-diff (she is older and has numerous chronic illnesses). I had to force to to go to the hospital is ambulance. I told her if she wasn’t going willingly, I’d carry her to the ambulance.
There are two types of dialysis. Hemodialysis is done in centers multiple times per week, peritoneal dialysis is done at home every night.
My husband is going through this for being a noncompliant diabetic. He wouldn’t listen to anyone. He just started PD after having surgery to have his catheter inserted a month ago. He has stage 4 kidney failure.
There is no way she could stay in Kuwait if her kidneys are failing. The amount of money she would have to spend would be astronomical.
My husband is a candidate for a transplant, since he’s otherwise healthy and fairly young (49). She has so many co-morbidities that I don’t know how she would qualify.
Unfortunately she has been telling everyone ( Not in so many words) she doesn't care and doesn't want to live anymore, all the signs are there🚩🚩🚩 She has been stressing that for many years. Everyone gave her good sound advice and she turned a deaf ear including the doctors of all people,

Regarding her mom not making a big deal about her weight when she would wake up choking, it is not that surprising. I have, in my own family, a brother who has some circulation issue and his legs are purple. None of my parents or brothers try to convince him to go to a doctor. I'm the only one and I'm mocked by this brother for being concerned about his health. He thinks he can overcome this only with his will. It is a miracle things didn't got worse yet, but I expected for a very bad outcome. The rest of the family seems to have accepted that he is too stubborn so they don't even try to mention the idea to go to a doctor. I think one of my brothers did it at first and said that he would pay all medical bills (I also offered this to him) and when he continued to reject this, they accepted that this are how things are.
I'm thinking more and more to cut him off from my life even if this would mean that I will never go home for the holidays. I can't behave like everything is OK.

There are 5 stages of kidney failure. Stage 3 is divided into 3a and 3b. Each stage is determined by scans and bloodwork and overall clinical presentation. If she would reveal her latest eGFR (a blood test) that number would determine what stage she’s in. My guess without knowing the numbers but based on her symptoms and other things, I’d say she in Stage 3a
