What To Include In Your Book of Shadows

- these are all things that i personally think are important to have in a book of shadows, and i find these things really convenient for people who are just starting out. you by no means have to have this info in your own books i just think that this video gives a good basic idea of what to include in a book of your own.
Keeping living plants around the home, specifically in windows and such, doubles as a form of spiritual protection. If they've died overnight, providing all the other variables were as they should be (proper amount of sun, right type of soil, correct amount of water, etc), the plants dying overnight would mean that they took a hit for you. That someone, knowingly or unknowingly, sent something nasty your way and your plants stopped it.

I believe it’s very important to be careful when allowing plants to absorb energies for you. Like they are alive and all very connected. I believe it’s important to look after them and keep them strong. Letting plants die to often could be bad for you in the long run.

I totally agree with Michelle McGrath. But I've also seen & experience a guest touching my plants & envying them. The nxt day they were dry like they hadnt been watered in a year. Even though their words were sweet & endearing, the energy they were giving out did not match. So that could be another thing that could have happened.

Awesome. My BOS is just a notebook, as I can't write decently on blank paper and it can hide in plain sight. I was actually working on mine as I was watching/listening to this video :3
I cant write on blank paper to save my life. But I'm also an artist and I want a super detailed magical looking journal so I make myself suffer by measure ing out lines with a ruler and writing in ink and then erasing the lines

Thank you for this walk through of your book of shadows. I have studied the craft and worked with spells and deities etc. but I’ve never had a book of shadows. I just started mine and now I wish I could re-order my pages. I’ve struggled with what to put in it and this video has helped me a lot

The most likely senario is that you've been watering them with tap water and the tap water in your area contains flouride and watering them with it everyday caused the toxins or metals to build up in the soil until it killed them. Another reason depends if it's winter or summer there. I've heard of windows not having good seals and the cold coming in through the window constantly kills them but I've also heard of in summer people turning their air conditioning down too low and killing them as well

I think it would be a good idea to replace those plants and really care for the new babies. Place them somewhere they can get a little sun and check their soil water levels etc. If those plants took on something and died to protect you, you need to try and give them something back for that.

If I'm not an english or an american,can I write my Book of Shadows in my native language.
Alin Cristian Simion Actual book of shadows are not written in English, they're written in Latin. You can write your book in any language but spells are always Latin.
Adding on to what Ryan said, the only reason old spells were written in Latin is because it was the language of scholars (the only people who really knew how to write) during the time it was written.
Even then, it's inaccurate. There was many 'book of shadows' that were written in old Germanic languages and such.
***** Again, you can write in ANY LANGUAGE YOU WANT. Original spells are always in Latin but can be written in your language like any other book. That's what i originally said and I'm sorry people couldn't understand that but yeah.
My book is in 7 languages, doesn't make it wrong. It makes it easy for the reader, which is what the book is for.
A BOS is a journal for you and your journey so i would recommend doing it in whatever way or language that suits your need in your path. BLESSINGS.

Whenever you put out plants and they have the perfect amount of sunlight, soil and water and they just die, that usually means they absorbed some evil someone wished on you or a curse someone’s trying to place on you
As a Christian I don’t practice this, but that being said I absolutely *love* learning and hearing about other people’s beliefs and cultures (can I call this a culture? I hope that’s right). Especially Wicca which I think is so fascinating. Although originally, I will admit, I believed Wicca to be a form of devil worship; but of course research helped me separate the two. My friend is Wiccan if I may add, and although I do not believe what she believes or practice what she practices, I always love listening to her talk about it. I know she doesn’t have a BOS yet (she has loose-leaf pages of stuff), but I know she is planning to physically make one of her own. I’m curious to see how it turns out.

I actually just meditated on it for a while and felt like nothing was coming to me so i just let it be, and then had a dream about it soon after. i think its different for everyone.

For me I would have to say that I would like to write down my beliefs because I think it's good to be able to go back and see how you have grown, and then my herbs and their purposes just so I always have a reference and then my spells and recipes that are particular to my practice:) that's such a good question!

Your plants may have gotten damaged by cold air, or got moist and then hot which could cause loss of leaves and death. They also do not like dry heat. Sounds pretty picky, huh? Indoor plants aren't easy. You need specific varieties that do well indoors. Try African Violets, Dieffenbachia, or smooth leaf plants that you might find in the indoor plant section in a nursery. Love your ideas. Just discovered your channel recently and I've enjoyed watching your videos.

your BOS is really pretty but I always prefer to handwrite mine but that's just personal preference. I like having the magic transferred through my own fingertips rather than typing since it doesn't transfer as well but it's whatever floats your boat!

My first book was actually a typed version that I keep on my computer. I printed it out and used it for a long time until I wanted to do something a bit more artistic. there isn't any specific way to do your own book it's whatever you are comfortable with and works for you. your book of Shadows is a reflection of yourself and your own knowledge so do whatever is the best for you.

No offense, but you seem very uneducated on the subject. I'd recommend doing a lot more research before getting into ANY of this, as you seem like you are still very very young. I mean, personally I'm thirteen, but I've been practicing witchcraft since I was nine with my parents. But, your answer is no, witches cannot move an object without touching it.

Bad energy will make plants die sometime
there was a lot of bad energy at the time. and when we moved into our new house I brought my plants with me and they died again.. but I could feel the negative energy in this house. I smudged and did some chants and now my plants are thriving again.
Plants and flowers absorb the negative junk out of your room that's why flowers die so fast in hospitals
I think somebody hexed you, its the only thing that comes to mind on why all your plants could have died on the same day

it's called eclectic. witchcraft isn't a religion on its own, and the book of Shadows is mostly a journal or way of keeping all the information you have learned. some of the first things I had learned where Buddhist practices and so I have a few things about everything in my bos. I don't call myself Wiccan anymore, and haven't for a while because I don't agree 100% with the religion and I don't think I should pick a religion for myself that I don't feel 100% drawn to, and comfortable with. I have never used the ouija board without being extremely careful. I'm answering you because I have had a billion freaking people hound me over the ouija board and a billion other things even down to how "I'm not even a real witch or don't know wtf I'm talking about". so let me just say that I am grateful of all of you who watch my videos, and thank you so much for being interested enough to watch it through and comment, and I will be making a video soon addressing some things because I feel like people have had a lot of confusion about me and my channel.
