I'll have a listen to those songs and see what I can do. This was actually a request so I haven't learnt any John Legend songs before this (I guess it's because he plays piano and the songs don't always translate well on guitar). I'll have a listen though and see if I can work out some nice chord movements.

How Deep Is Your Love is a brilliant song! I remember trying to learn it a few years back but realised that it's actually quite complicated. I'm gonna revisit the song & see if my skills have improved enough to learn it.

So glad you are putting up so many lessons , I know its meant to be on a piano but could you do a lesson for "Save room" or "PDA" they are one of john legends best songs and theres hardly any videos out on youtube thanks

Hey man, glad to hear you're enjoying the lessons & benefiting from my teaching. These jazzy chords are great to mess around & can really develop your chord playing skills. Check out some of the Amy Winehouse vids as all her songs use these type of chords.
With regards to scales they're not really my strong suit, & improv is definitely not my field, so I'm not really the best person to advise on the subject. The song is in D major so sue that as a starting point. With jazz you can break a lot of rules so navigate with your ear & see how you go (,")
