John Legend - Stay With You (Live In Philly 2002)

Check out this early clip of platinum-selling recording artist JOHN LEGEND (nee Stephens) performing his song "Stay With You" live at North By Northwest nightclub in May, 2002. Co-writer Dave Tozer is on guitar. A few months after this performance, John would adopt the Legend moniker, sign with Kanye West's GOOD MUSIC and release his debut CD, GET LIFTED (2004). A re-recorded version of Stay With You would be nominated for a Grammy when included on that CD. Check out the stunning background harmonies, reminiscent of Bob Marley's I-Threes.
