    Travel details
    I took a taxi collectivo from Havana to Viñales. It took 2.5 hours and cost 25 CUC per person. I booked this through the casa I was staying at in Havana.
    I travelled to Trinidad after Vinales via the Viazul tourist bus www.viazul.com. The journey takes about 9 hours. I would recommend you avoid eating at the service stations and bring food/snacks with you if possible.

    Restaurants
    3Js bar de Tapas was my favourite restaurant in Viñales. The food and drink were delicious. I highly recommend the Piña colada!

    Finca Agroecologica El Paraiso is a farm and restaurant. It’s best to get a taxi there as it is quite a distance from the town. It is a set menu of soup, different meats and fish served with vegetables and salad. It costs 15 CUC per person.

    To capture what it means to be in a place visually without having to step foot there means this is something special.
    Great video! I would love to go there and experience a place where the "old" meets the "new".
    This video has captured a lot of questions I had about this place but it has seemed to have ticked all the boxes.
    Great insight and I hope to see more videos on future journeys.
    Good Luck 💙

      Hi, thanks so much for watching. Vinales is a beautiful little town with so much to do, you’ll love it! I had it in my suitcase and it wasn’t checked. I wouldn’t recommend it as it can be confiscated at the airport.

    This video is super helpful and thank you for the insightful information; as well great content! Did you have any issues booking a hotel in Vinales? I'm U.S based and as I'm planning a Cuba trip, I'm having a hard finding accommodation in Vinales. Looking forward to hearing from you 🙂 !

    • @TravelwithRidhi
      @TravelwithRidhi  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Ludi. I stayed in a Casa particulares as there weren’t many hotels. The great thing about staying in a casa particulares is that they can help you book excursions and can sort out drivers for you. Unfortunately, the place I stayed at is temporarily closed but there are others there. I booked through booking.com but you can also look at Airbnb. If you want to stay at a hotel there is Hotel Horizontes Los Jazmines but it’s a bit out of town. I hope that helps 😊

    • @TravelwithRidhi
      @TravelwithRidhi  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks. I think 2 days is a good amount of time. As this will allow you time to visit the tobacco plantation, go horse riding and do a tour of the Viñales valley should you wish to. I hope you have a great time!

    hello, ridhi!
    i just wanted to say that i love your vinales video. i have been to the town more than 50 times since 1999 and even saw some friends of mine working at Tres J, which, i agree, is the best restaurant in vinales. i plan to be there in December and will show them your video:)
    i've never had the nerve to visit cueva san tomas, but i think it's great that you warn people about the 'narrowness' at that one point in the indian cave.
    i was just wondering, what kind of drone did you use and was it hard to get in? i'm a photographer in key west and use mine around here, but wasn't sure you could bring one to cuba...
    thanks again for the great video:)

      Hi Rob. Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate your support as it takes a lot of effort producing these videos so thank you so much. Wow that is awesome, Vinales was amazing. I had a great time and there is so much to do so I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cuba.
      I had a mavic air but I wouldn’t recommend taking your drone as it can be confiscated. Well I hope you enjoy your trip to beautiful Cuba 🇨🇺

      hello again, ridhi! thanks so much for your reply...i had several cell phones confiscated in june... after dozens of trips to cuba, i honestly didn't know there was a limit!...i was just wondering if you got your drone past the aduana at the airport or by boat...currently, us gringos can't go by boat. it's so much easier to get stuff in that way...i've just always wanted some aerial images, that's part of why i loved your video so much...were the agents just in a good mood that day? i'm dying to know...keep up the great work and have a great day! rob o'neal

      Hi Monica. I did all of this in 3 days. My highlight was the Cuban cigar farm tour with horse riding. If the weather is good then I think a trip to Cayo Jutias would be worth it. I would also go and see the mural de la prehistorica and hotel horizontes los Jazmines for some lovely views. I hope that helps 😊
