It’s not for lack of effort put in, its increasingly because I choose not to spend - which is incredibly disappointing.
I know they said that the next legendary event will not be tuned around needing CB, but I have no faith in that.
Also, what would one define as ‘successful’ in the next event? Basically just unlocking would be characterized as a success. But why would I build a team that frankly isn’t much good without CB?
Sure, Shuri and Hank are decent plug and play, but not necessarily at low star rankings.
Plus I’m still trying to work on raid teams and acquire crimson gear to finally begin DD7.

Also glad Scopley is giving "leather bears/leather daddies" representation in the game. Honestly, I don't know if I want the other vampire minions to all be leather clad bikers or instead if I want there to be a Native American, a police officer, and a construction worker added with the biker.

Honestly, I'm the most hyped for this dude out of all the new characters. Truly the hero we needed. I hope they name him in the files and he ends up being Steve or Gerald.

Not surprised if he counters a Mythic character, not the first time a Legendary do that, but, I really hope that Odin brings back old asgardian characters instead of a new team with new people. Also, hoping they don’t create another tag too but that is too much XD
Fair! I mean I would hope he has some sort of Asgardian call outs, this would make sense. I also find his connections to the other a bit loose, mostly just Gorr.

I refuse to upgrade my bifrost team. I hope Odin has synergy with other asgardians to help with the raids
Maxing vahl, getting the rest to gear level 16 or so. Probably would replace kid Loki if Odin is compatible.
If they are going to be a team they are going to be called "God squad". i am sure.
Most important that Odin and other New characters will be necessary for x-age and events😅

@@Waffle131totally with you on this. I am not overly excited about any of these new toons. The release methods will probably be meh, the orbs will have garbage drop rates and given Illuminati will be required, not having CB will mean that you’re going to be getting a limited number of stars for Odin as a result because they’re all going to be star-gated moving forward.
Plus they really need to open up crimson gear beyond raids if they expect people to feel like there’s actual progress.

I’m excited for this since I’m a big Thor fan and have wanted him in the game for a while. Regarding OML do we know when his trial event will return since I missed it when it first happened.
If there's a DPC character coming I'd really hope it be Gorr the God Butcher. I mean in name alone he fits the bill.
There are 607 Mephistos atm, around 30 or so on the final node. I doubt they will counter him before the vast majority of the community unlocks him.

I think that there is going to be 2 main team in this upcoming Odin patch. One team will include Gorr, Ares Odin and the rework for the team. And then Endgame THANOS gets a different team maybe a mythic raid team with Ebony Maw. This is just a theory though.
Arena legendary to beat Apoc (who is now east to get) and really hard to get so only krakens get him

I bet they are all a team and they break off to other teams for other modes. Like Odin might be arena but then on asguardian team he’s war based
I don’t think it’s a arena team but a mystic raid team cause age of X has four legendary characters like age of apocalypse not like the three legendary you mentioned
Possible Mephisto Counters:
- No battlefield effect until Odin does his
- Max health of allies can’t be reduced
- clear 1 stack of exhaust from all allies
- Do damage or do something when an enemy gains empowered
- Speed stats can’t be altered
They are not going to counter Mephisto so soon; most likely apoc and skrull
@@sebabal I doubt it too but Boilon mentioned it possibly countering so I just spitballed some ideas
Clearing exhaust is definitely something that would counter Mephisto's opening, esp on Defense since the AI reverts to this all the time.
He may not be a hard counter, but I'm almost certain he'll have a soft counter somewhere in his kit.@sebabal

I think Odin will counter mephisto, well his not wrong, remember apoc and the weaver fiasco they had to do a little update on his kit lol just to not be countered by weaver 🤣
More likely to be an Apocalypse oml and sus counter. I am guessing Xavier will be the one to pass Mephisto. Some mind controll to mess up his contracts or something.

New characters almost weekly with no training mats, game getting grubby AF with the disgusting monetization, it’s really hard for me to be excited for any of this
Writing this after curiously perusing the comments while I collect my thoughts. I guess, from the collective opinions, I am possibly part of 'the problem' given I made the decision to go to my wallet to get BP Shuri and get her to 5 stars and get my first CB shield token whatever thingy. NOW, that being said, before I get eaten alive in replies, I'm writing this at 1:10 am EST local time for me. MSF store is still BP Shuri offers, etc. I got Shuri to 5 stars, did my 'traitorous' deed if you will as a primarily and intentionally light spender, who USUALLY spends maybe 20$ out of a month on a Pass unlock. So, logically, I imagine some people would ask....BUT WHAT ABOUT HANK PYM?! Am I gonna continue being...a paypig or whatever for Scopely? If Hank Pym shows up when store changes/resets whatever, am I forking over ANOTHER 100$+ USD to unlock him, and keep going on getting CB unlocked? My honest genuine, and truthful answer is, I do not know. Ant guy pops up GET ME NOW! Just pay 125$ USD and I can be your today at 5 Stars! *insert Scopely jazz hands* Haven't gotten that far in my thought process. Roast me if you want.
On to other matters, Odin, and all of...this, Ares etc. I'm excited for it, am I gonna shell out more money if that's ask.... I f'ing doubt it severely. That's where I'm at, thank you Boilon for the info, and speculations. A Mephisto counter....Arena team or Odin arena meta incoming 🤔I think that would be highly out of character for Scopely, but if it happens, as someone who has yet to start DD7 that would certainly give me things to think about 100%
I think we've got at least two teams here. Odin and Gor are going to be part of a raid team with existing asgardians, and the rest are going to be part of something else, similar to an out of time team and how they're connected tenuously
Most new teams have AT LEAST 3 new, so this would be a departure from the norms. But, we are also in uncharted waters lately. That being said, Odin will be Arena viable for sure.
Isn't Legendary every 3 months till Pro X? Probably before the next Legendary there will be another EPIC character.
The only thing they had said to us in the past was 2 guaranteed legendaries for 2024.

This game is becoming quite taxing. I mean its no longer F2p friendly. They are treating the players like walking bank accounts. i use to be in the top 100 in arena. Now i can't get past 130. These rewards and orbs are garbage and ever since the company switch over , this game is literally blood sucking. Say what you want about Marvel Snap but Second Dinner at least likes the fans of the actual game.
