By him refusing to answer the question, and citing the fact that he would be arrested, he is admitting that he would be glorifying both hamas and their actions. As the UK has designated hamas a terrorist group, such wanton support of them can be classed as treason. Treason used to carry a death sentence, but now its life imprisonment.
