This is an awesome tutorial. Detailed yet to the point and easy to follow along with.
I try to use this method but the sound quality is very low...
Thanks for sharing DJ. Very helpful.
Great content. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. Peace and blessings to you and your entire family!
Recording audio to your voice note is also a great way to check. You can actually see the audio being recorded & play it back to see if it"s too loud or to low in volume. Here's a tip, if the waveform on the recording looks like a block then that means you're too loud & It'll be distorted. You can adjust levels while recording. It has to visually look like it's not over compressed. Hope this helps!
Great idea, but I use an jack aux splitter. One for the phone an one the the speaker.
Also a good tip is to use a 25db attenuator in between to prevent hissing when streaming as it will perform at a mic volume which is alot louder. The attenuator takes the volume down a bit and prevents that 🙂....can you do a video on the attenuator please?
Attenuator ? Do you mean like a focusrite audio interface?
What are you using as an output to listen to you’re mix??
I'm using headphones jack on the mixer it's got a volume control.
I just ordered another trrs adapter with the splitter mic and audio let's see if that will work maybe the adapter I was using was defective.
I also looking for an output for headphones
The ddj-sr is such an awesome controller
Thanks for sharing DJ
I have a rane one it’s not working for me
do you have a video of how the outcome is? Video is good but doesnt really show us anything other than the fact so what I NEED?
Many thanks bro this helped
It worked but for some reason the sound quality sounds bad 😭
"Do not move the output"...............Got it!
What setting i have to do in my recordbox after getting all the things ?
Have you found out I need help I’ve just ordered the wires
Good content, very simple. For some reason man I have tried this, and I still can't get quality sound. I have a galaxy S22...
Okay but how do you test the sound on your phone how do you know if it’s playing
Why you didnt put the audio to the phone from the booth monitor.....separate control volume......then use the master volume for internal use.....
Thanks man
I bought the trrs adapter with 3 rings I connect it to the headphone jack on my mixer and i maje sure I'm getting sound by plugging in the headphones i use open camera app and went through all the set ups like they explained chose external mic and have the sound meter on and nothing i do works all i record is the noise in my surroundings its been a very confusing thing to do.
I get exactly the same
I just ordered another trrs adapter with the splitting mic and audio inputs I'd it works I'll let you know.
@guscruz5076 awesome good luck. I'm trying to get a good cheap set up to stream my drum and bass sets on twitch
@leebobb8204 OK Thanks same to you
Bro, we have the same setup and controller. But everytime i hit record, it records the backgrounds. It still uses the Iphone 11pro's internal microphone.
same thing aye
I know this is late but if you haven’t figure it out try not putting the cable all the way into the iPhone lightning adapter…I had the same issue and I read somewhere to not push it in all the way and it will work…that’s what I did and it works
Hey dab so not plug it in all the way helped you? I’ve literally tried everything but that. Ima try it tomorrow hopefully it works
Also how would I test it to make sure its working properly without haveing to go live?
@@JoseHernandez-bk8pk yea plugged in all the way it won’t work…I was looking at the cables on Amazon and looked thru the reviews and someone mentioned about not plugging it in all the way so I tried it and it actually worked…if it doesn’t work try pulling it out s little more or pushing it in a little more it’s kinda sensitive but once it the right spot it will wrk…atleast for me it did
The audio isn’t coming out through my phone when I try to go on live you can still hear me talk and the background noise
same
But you would get Mono sound using this method, I need stereo sound while streaming
Do you know if this works with a mixer?
Hey mate. I hope you can help.
I’ve done everything you have done on this video. However, my phone is still picking up the audio rather than through the controller out.
How to fix this?
Same here I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and nothing is working
so can anyone tell me about this cable but my problem is my live is constantly delaying and I want to talk as well and it's not working for me what can I do??
would i still apply if you try doing it from a laptop?
I just started live-streaming from my iPhone will it make sense getting this? I dj live from my MacBook Air m2!
Love you
i have the rode sc4 , lightinh adapter , the rca but my phone wont recognize
what type of phone do you have?
@@JamaalAbiade iphone 11 and dont connect 😩
So when you video record will the music play ?
What about the speakers in the room if you are using the r.c.a master output..how will you hear music in your room
I have a main output as well as a tape output on my mixer. I would use one of those to out out to my phone and monitor at the same time

Great idea. Thanks. But how do I listen to my mix through my studio speakers?
okay so i got everything plugged in, and when i got to livestream on insta the audio coming in sounds like when you don't plug your headphones in all the way and it kinda muffles the bass. On the other hand when i got to voice memos on my phone and play the audio through that it comes out perfect. i don't get it. My wifi is good too so shouldn't be the connection. but someone help pls.
