    Do you know if the “card saver top load sleeves” will fit the ultra pro premium?
    I’m talking about the sleeves that go over the entire top loader

    just a curiosity here:
    i noticed that american products sold in the usa bear the CE logo on them, wich is the logo of approval for an item to be sold in the european community, of course it must be because of smaller costs of packaging and stuff (they produce it all in one place, and then ship it world-wide), but i was wondering since when is this happening? has it always been like this? did items sold always bear CE logo in america? thank you in advance for the answer :)

    Hi, I would like to know which kind of toploader might be ideal for shipping purposes. The standard ones can hold up to one sleeved card, however from previous card purchases I've received a slightly thicker toploaders which may hold up to 4-6 cards. Thank you in advance and for the very clear and deep review.

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před rokem

      Yes, I have seen that as well. Both brands offer “thick” top loaders which you could potentially put more than one card inside. I don’t know if that will truly protect the cards well though I’m a little scared of that method. Personally, for shipping I would use a Card Saver 1 with cardboard on both sides. I have another video where I compare a top loader with a Card Saver if you want to check it out.

      If you put enough card board around it, It will protect the cards. All depends how many cards sending out.

    What penny sleeves are using in this video? I've been looking for something in the middle of a regular loose penny sleeve & a KMC perfect fit

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před rokem +1

      I believe they were the Cardboard Gold standard soft sleeves. That’s what I usually use and they are a good fit. Not too loose but not too tight.

    You did not mention how the Ultra Pro has about 15-20% scratched up loaders right out of a brand new package.

    Is the premium more clear than regular/standard? You didn't mention the clarity of the plastic being any different. Thanks

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t notice much difference in clarity. The big difference is the weight and thickness of the plastic.

      Believe it or not, I've only had an issue with toploaders being bent with Ultra Pro. I've bulk ordered 1000's of CBG and had no issue @Spartan-P0351

    I seen on another video where the Cardboard Gold top loader split open, when the person attempted to place their finger in the top loader, to remove the card. Probably should not remove the card in that manner, but is the plastic thin to the point where it will split easily?

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před 2 lety +2

      That definitely does happen sometimes with any brand of top loader. These are thin pieces of mass produced plastic so you can get one that will split open, but its not extremely common. Using the Ultra Pro Premium top loader would mostly prevent that because they are made from thicker plastic.

      @@goldsmithcards Haha really? I needed some toploaders, never bought them before so i went with ultra pro premium. 3 of them already broke, and the cards are really loose inside. I had other toploaders from different sellers on ebay, and they all were better than these “premium” toploaders, the cards didn’t move inside of it, and never broke. I could use them over and over again never did they break. While NEW ultra premium’s are breaking for using the first time. I’m trying to find the brands of those good quality toploaders, ultra pro toploaders are cheap, never buy them again

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před rokem

      I’m so sorry you are dealing with that. Did you buy from me? We offer free returns or in your case most likely would offer free replacement. I have never had an ultra pro premium break on me. Regarding the movement, depending on the card thickness you may want to try cardboard gold top loaders because they are a tighter fit. Thinner cards will fit a lot better and not move around.

    • @whooch9318
      @whooch9318 Před rokem

      I have now bought and used about 8k cardboard gold top loaders and 2k pro safe. Both are very good, but prefer cardboard gold. Had only 2 or 3 split a bit at the top. Had about 50 that had a slight bow in them. Enough to notice. I saved allot of money going with cardboard gold over ultra pro, especially with the volume I used. I inspected all of them and the clarity was very similar and the manufacturing was very similar. To the point that I wonder if both card board gold and ultra pro are run at the same Chinese factory.

      @@whooch9318 I have various point size topoaders and sleeves for standard cards 75pt and less. Then the up to 130pt sleeves. Sleeves I've used from Ultra Pro are the best. BCW has a filmy substance that eventually climgs to the card. I haven't had a card get damaged from that but I don't like the "wet look" spots just sleeved or in a top loader. BCW I'll use top loaders in the thicker sizes and some are sizes Ultra Pro doesnt make. Almost every paper thin 35 pt and less are the regular topoader, Bowman paper basic or vintage cards. Most other cards, like Bowman Chrome and Topps Crome go perfect in 55pt top loaders. Next is various thickness from Flawless or NT. Those get 130pt and up, I believe 360pt is top size in loaders. Anyway, I hope you've had good luck since you commented around 8 months ago.

    can I double sleeve the card then put it in the regular ultra pro toploader?

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před rokem

      To do that I recommend using a 60 pt top loader. It gives you a little more space to get the double sleeved card inside.

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards  Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry to hear that, was it just one pack of top loaders or many? I have seen one out of every few cases have that issue with any brand. We try to do quality control and not send those to customers but they can be easily missed and I think some sellers just send whatever they have without looking.
