    Thank you, this was a lifesaver. Getting ready to send some cards in for grading that I got 20 years ago and couldn't remember what kind of holder I even had them in, looks like I put them in a top loader for storage so I'll move them over to the card savers before shipping.

    There is a problem submitting patch/relic cards using any of the card savers that PSA wants people to use. The smaller or larger ones do not really matter. No top loaders of course to PSA. How do you package the thick patch or relic cards? Card savers actually damage them from so much pressure on these fragile cards. Causing corners to curl a bit. I am thinking of 100 count clear boxes to submit them in next time.

    Actually the interior shipping box is plenty good for shipping. Especially if only a small amount of cards. Just a real overkill is all. but for piece of mind mostly.

    just a curiosity here: i noticed that american products sold in the usa bear the CE logo on them, wich is the logo of approval for an item to be sold in the european community, of course it must be because of smaller costs of packaging and stuff (they produce it all in one place, and then ship it world-wide), but i was wondering since when is this happening? has it always been like this? did items sold always bear CE logo in america? thank you in advance for the answer :)

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards Před rokem

      It's is up to you if you want to use a brand new box or the box it came in. We use extra tape on all corners and edges of the box we send out, and believe its safe to send your cards in that box with the internal packing described in the instructions. Our instructions are based on PSA guidelines but designed to work with any grading company. For example, PSA recommends securing the cards with the pieces of cardboard on both sides and then rubber bands around the cardboard. Many of us cringe when thinking of using rubber bands that close to our cards. That's why we recommend and use 2x1 precut label tape. This complies with all grading companies and also keeps rubber bands out of the equation.

      Yes, I have seen that as well. Both brands offer “thick” top loaders which you could potentially put more than one card inside. I don’t know if that will truly protect the cards well though I’m a little scared of that method. Personally, for shipping I would use a Card Saver 1 with cardboard on both sides. They have bend to them so you need to use cardboard or something else hard on both sides if you are shipping them. In my experience cards are safe in a card saver when stored in a box. The benefit to using them for shipping and why grading companies prefer, if not require, them over top loaders is that cards do not move around in a card saver the way they can in a top loader.

    • @goldsmithcards
      @goldsmithcards Před 2 lety

      That definitely does happen sometimes with any brand of top loader. These are thin pieces of mass produced plastic so you can get one that will split open, but its not extremely common. Using the Ultra Pro Premium top loader would mostly prevent that because they are made from thicker plastic.

      @@whooch9318 I have various point size topoaders and sleeves for standard cards 75pt and less. Then the up to 130pt sleeves. Sleeves I've used from Ultra Pro are the best. BCW has a filmy substance that eventually climgs to the card. I haven't had a card get damaged from that but I don't like the "wet look" spots just sleeved or in a top loader. BCW I'll use top loaders in the thicker sizes and some are sizes Ultra Pro doesnt make. Almost every paper thin 35 pt and less are the regular topoader, Bowman paper basic or vintage cards. Most other cards, like Bowman Chrome and Topps Crome go perfect in 55pt top loaders. Next is various thickness from Flawless or NT. Those get 130pt and up, I believe 360pt is top size in loaders.
