Well those two horses seem to be friends. 😄 Thanks for the info Buska I must admit I don't think I've seen any male troopers with these guys and was wondering about the numbers. The female troopers certainly have a different touch/approach to the horses, it's nice to see the obvious affection between them. These poor guys have to wait so long. They ought to rethink the schedule after all, the horses have just stood in a stuffy box for an hour, and the moment they're let out into the real world they are expected to stand still for ages once again. And at the end - just walk around them and let them go in for goodness sake.
The horses of The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery are Light Irish draft/thoroughbred cross the same as The Household Cavalry . They are sourced and purchased in Ireland from selected breeders .HCav use only blacks , Kings from chestnut , bay and black . They have a team of 6 blacks for funerals , they pulled the carriage with the Queens coffin at her funeral .

The Household Cavalry Lifeguards and Blues and Royals are on a break so The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery are standing Kings Lifeguards .
