The comment you made about being an "angry teacher" because you are taking student behaviours personally is so spot on for so many teachers even if it is only in that moment. Taking into account what is happening for students out of the classroom and the coping mechanisms they have developed is so, so very important. Love the forms! You could also use the form where the afternoon is not shaded to tally specific behaviors that you may need info on. Put one behavior in each box and then you can tally throughout the day. It’s helpful at the staff meeting when discussing the child to decide which behavior to begin an intervention with first or which behavior is holding the child back the most.

It's hard to believe there are others out there who may not agree with you. I bet you can really see a difference in those teachers classes and yours. All teachers need to love their children. Each and every one of them. I teach Pre-K, I will always teach Pre-K and I tell you what, those are MY BABIES! Ur awesome!

What can I do to get to know my students, if I’m going to have a lot groups? At 4 different schools. I feel like building relationships with them is not going to be easy.
Please talk about how to conduct a successful RI or local screening meeting and the type of documentation. I always feel as though my documentation to show that students are falling behind aren't strong enough.

I am a first year teacher in third grade and in an urban area. I have 4 students that give me a difficult time (sometimes all on the same day). When I have that many students disrupting/being disrespectful, it gets so hard for me to remain patient. Do you have any advice for building that patience and love?
Also, do you have any recommendations for speaking with students in private? I struggle to speak with students in private when I have all of the other students waiting on me. It can be hard to focus on that one kid so much daily when I have 20 other kids. I know that some kids really really need that extra attention but I thought maybe you might have some thoughts.
I would recommend watching my classroom management videos from that playlist. Also, I never make my other students wait on me while I speak with another student. I make sure my class is good to go with working and then I pull that student aside and speak with them. Hope my other videos help you. ((Hugs))
