Wow, what a suprise, that's one of the reasons we don't use the Dover/Calais crossing having to navigate around Paris, we always use Portsmouth/Caen, a longer crossing but then you can drive down the west side of France, have a great time looking forward to the next Vlog 👍
That lock on your van for the scooters could be cut with a strong pair of sissers . Try and find a suitable D. Lock with a steel cable extension around the van rack and the other scooter.

That church is being demolished i watched a vlog on it the roof was blown in and it was going to cost 4-5 million euros to repair so it was cheaper to demolish it.

Hi Lisa and Mark, they are indeed the White Cliffs of Dover, yes the vegetation makes them look a bit green - but they are the iconic cliffs, the ones Vera Lynn sung about! As you entered the docks on your left you might have seen a row of houses overlooking the docks, my dad used to have a newsagents shop there and as a child during the war, he used to shelter in the caves behind those houses. For a while we lived in the house next to the shop and our back garden 'wall' was actually the cliffs, all 300ft high of them. Have a fantastic time exploring and hope you get to Spain. This is our dream for next year, as we are newbies to Motorhoming. And only a five minute drive from the ferry. All the best, Gary and Julie.

Hi guys,nice vlog,great views but a hell of a journey .Bit disappointed that you didn't get a puppy(which was my guess).Of course you could never replace Woody, but from my own experience, when our big lad passed away,getting a puppy brought back all the memories of him growing and learning and gave us lots of laughs remembering our lad. I do understand you have enough on your plate,looking after Mark( he's just a big cuddly puppy after all🤭). XX

We had an egg vending machine on the main road @ the entrance to a farm here in Milton Keynes. Sadly the land was purchased & farmers driven out in favour of building development ☹️ Great vlog guys 👍🏽 keep em coming 👌🏽

I visited Oradour sur Glane when I went to France with my school age 13yrs. I still have my journal we had to keep for the 3 weeks we were there. Such a sad village. There was a house painted all red inside to hide the blood stains. It was eerily quiet when you entered the village. 😢

Well I got that one wrong l. Now we need to look out for Mark asking the locals " bonjour, avec un chinese pomfitery por favour son....". Thats the ferry we went on in 2019.... The one where we went to le grad large camp site and I tripped up over bright orange guy ropes and broke my arm and we had six bloody cars there and nobody took me to the hossie. Oh how I laughed.... Lisa, if you had problems on the ferry, get some studgeron sea sick pills. My husband got me some coz the Navy use em and they are great. I also use em for my vertigo (that gives me the weird feeling too). Have a fantastic trip xx❤😊
