- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle never lived in a palace. In the fourth episode of Netflix's docuseries "Harry & Meghan," the couple reflected on what living in Nottingham Cottage was like, their first home. While Harry and Meghan were residing in their tiny, yet cozy humble abode, Oprah visited them, and she could't believe the simplicity they were living. The couple also revealed that they were ecstatic when Queen Elizabeth offered for them to live in Frogmore Cottage before Archie was born.

I saw the documentary and only saw two people who are deeply in love and just wanted to stop being harassed by the British press and wanting his family to protect him from the negativity. Instead the royal family decided to protect Andrew who’s alleged crimes were felonious in nature. Granny dished out millions out of her on pocket to make his accusers go away.
William and Catherine also lived in this cottage when they first got married. And they didn't take pictures of it to share with the public to try to gain sympathy. Sympathy for living in a normal house that was given to them.

Megha6 Markle, the ONLY AMERICAN QUEEN, wanted to live in Windsor Castle so she could rub shoulders with the late Queen. When Her Majesty politely said "NO" and gifted the duo Frogmore Cottage, the resented the Queen's decision. That is one of the myriad of reasons why the duo felt they were "less than". But Princess Eugenie (of Royal Blood) lived at said cottage with her child and husband. "What Meghan wants, Meghan gets" manta continues to resonate around the world. Congrats Ginger.

It is important to note that there are clips of William making light of living in the cottage also. Him and Catherine are both tall and jokingly mocked how low the ceilings were. William stated that they bumped their heads also. I think you’re reading the situation to hard.

In addition, NottCott was designed by Christopher Wren and is located on palace grounds. Finally, most people are limited to size and location of housing by the cost. The Harkles lived in the historic cottage for FREE: no rent, utilities, upkeep, insurance. An extremely cushy arrangement in my world.
They were given a FREE place to live on a royal estate till Frogmore cottage could be remodeled. A LOT of couples could only wish to not pay rent and live on a fantastic estate. Don't forget they could have the best meals served to them by staff. Plus they had a cleaning person.

He wouldn't have been given a title back then unless he was in the direct line of succession (i.e. one of William's children). If they really wanted a title for their child, then all they had to do was wait patiently for Charles to become King, instead of making a fuss about their children being denied titles because they weren't white. That was so blatantly untrue. Even the normal public knew that great-grandchildren of the reigning monarch didn't get titles, then how could Harry, who is a part of the institution as you say, have no clue of that little fact?

Wow, My friend couldn’t afford to pay rent anymore for her horrible apartment that always smells like weed because of the neighbors. The rent went up. She is 27 years old and have to go back to live with her parents until She gets back on her feet. She told me she feels humiliated because everyone she knows that is her age are doing great. A lot of people will be grateful to have that beautiful cottage. It’s enough for 2 people anyways, they don’t need bigger than that, like the mansion they are staying in. 16 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. Who needs all that space? And they rented a mansion for their documentary on top of that.
