    Nice work Trek. The Domane is no more a "compromise" beetween the Madone and the Emonda. It has nothing to envy anymore.

      Im so pumped. Throw on some thicker tires if you decide you want gravel and vice versa. Also i like how you could make it more aggressive by removing some of the stem spacers if you want a fast road bike

    Why doesn’t it come with the clutch rear derailleur if it is supposed to be gravel capable?

    • @omaracycles6923
      @omaracycles6923  Před 5 lety +3

      The new Domanes do not come equipped with the clutched derailleurs as the bike is made to be ridden on the road as well as the gravel. It was a choice Trek had to make to save weight and keep shifting smooth like a road bike should be. However, we would be happy to subsidise putting on a clutched derailleur on the bike if it makes the perfect bike for you.

    Does the storage compartment have it's own "box" inside the frame, or does it just give access to the entire downtube?
    I'd like to be able to store at least two co2s and two tubes, plus some other stuff, and it's unclear if they would fit. This stuff all fits into a small saddlebag. If it opens up into the downtube, there would always be a way -- perhaps by chaining up two BITS bags, or putting the 2nd one in the other direction towards BB.
    Alternatively: if you put two co2s and two tubes into the BITS bag, does it still fit into the downtube?

    • @omaracycles6923
      @omaracycles6923  Před 5 lety

      Trek have the Bontrager BITs bag to keep everything neat and tidy! You can check out all the details here: www.trekbikes.com/au/en_AU/equipment/cycling-accessories/bike-bags-baskets-panniers/bike-bags-panniers/bontrager-bits-internal-frame-storage-bag/p/26634/

    Looking at upgrading .. currently have an emonda alr4 love riding the coast road to Frankston and back from the city. But would also love something that I could potentially take out further on rougher roads. That would cope with a saddle bad and frame bag for a few days. I’ve seen it just breaks the 9kg mark on the lower SL models does it affect the performance and power ? Ie would you see a noticeable difference in your average kmph?

      Hey Luke, glad to hear you like the look and design of the new Domane. This is the SLR version that runs Trek’s top of the line carbon, high quality components and their crazy Isospeed technology. Trek will still alternatively offer their Domane SL version of the bike so you can still get the comfort without breaking the bank.

      Hey Rob, these bikes run Trek's top of the line 700 series OCLV Carbon as well as some of the nicest wheels out there. Trek do offer an SL version of the same bike that offers an amazing ride without braking the bank. The real question is where do we have the most fun, in our cars or out on our bikes exploring? We see as an investment in enjoyment and health :)
