Explore Bansko, Bulgaria with us in this walking tour of this popular Digital Nomad hotspot during the summer. We lived here for over two months and share our favorite spots and some highlights for your visit to Bansko.
Bansko is known primarily as a ski resort in Bulgaria’s Pirin Mountains. But in the summer it is a lovely town full of outdoor restaurants that is easily walkable and with lots of fun activities.

Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you! I’m halfway around the world, but my brother is going there today & this video really helped him out!
That's great to hear! Thanks for sharing the video it really helps us out!
Thank you both.
I found it interesting 😊
We are glad you liked it!
Nice video! By the way the statue was on St. Paisius of Hilendar, he was monk and historian. He had a major role for uprising the bulgarian spirit during the Ottoman yoke. He wrote a Slavo-bulgarian history book (or glorious-bulgarian history book, because the word slavo, slava mean glorious) . He was born in Bansko :)
Thank you for sharing about the historical significance of the statue. We we told about it on the tour but couldn't recall it.
Bulgaria is an Amazing Place . Really nice . ! And Imagine been an America there eh ? No Rap Music and no Drugs and No Drive by Shootings too ! Refreshing for you ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm heading there tomorrow
That's awesome! We really like Bansko and the pace here.

Hey guys! Thank you for the tour. I'll be heading to Bansko for the first time this August. I'm looking at a place in St. Ivan Ski Resort. As much as I have mapped it out, it's difficult to see if it's a good location to commit to for three months. I was wondering if you can give me any insights on that area. Thanks!
Hi Maggie, St. Ivan is over by the dam which is about a 15 min walk to the gondola area (upper Bansko). There is not as much open up there during the summer (restaurants & grocery). You can certainly find great food and small markets near the gondola, just not as many. Check out Supermarket Grosh which i think is the closest to St. ivan.
To get down to the old town and square from st. Ivan Ski lodge it is about a 20-25 min walk (downhill) and 30 minutes walk to the Billa (largest grocery store).
One other though is that in September - November a lot of stuff closes up until the ski season starts up again in late December.
Hi - So is the Four Leaf Clover the best value? What are some other good ideas for lodging? For a family of 3?
Hi Allen, We personally like staying at Four Leaf Clover, it is really well priced and we have found a great community of other nomads there.
There are lots of places to stay in Bansko due to the resort nature of the town. You can find other stays on VBRO, Booking, Hotels.com and also the Bansko FB pages.
It is hard to say if it is right for you and your needs but for us it has been very good. You can watch a tour of our stay last year (studio Plus) which may be a bit small for 3 ppl czcams.com/video/w0l4Yxxeyos/video.html
They do have larger rooms but they are fewer in availability (at least in the summer). We have a video coming out in the next month of out stay this year in the Maisonette. be sure to check that video out when it drops.
Thanks for your comment, it really helps our business.
Cheers,
Joel
Super! that's amazing ! see yyou on my side~
Hmmm pizza?! You came to Bulgaria and you eat pizza? Why don't you try the traditional Bulgarian cuisine?
We did try the traditional Bulgarian foods 😋 and so much more!
The correct spelling is : lidl, not laidl
CZcams auto translate captions is messed up. Haven't been able to change it.
If there is no other food than pizza, then it must be a pretty lousy city.
Lots of other options, clearly this is not a restaurant tour video. Banski Aiduti is one of our favorites that we showed in the video that is not pizza. 😊
Peasants ! ...
