Why can’t they just release a solid Arkham game for console and pc, they don’t need to try and go down this whole vr path it’s honestly bad for business.
We need next gen Arkham, like maybe a Red hood game. Or a Beyond game, either would be better than this.
I'm not sure how many gaming companies care about what's good for business right now, nor how long that can last.
I’m only happy about extra lore and the fact that Roger Craige Smith is voicing him making this an origins sequel
All I saw were Harley’s Arkham ID, Two-Face’s campaign thing & Ratcatcher with he’s army of Rats.

As a VR quest user I'm not disappointed! Its made by the same guys that made Iron Man VR and that game was solid! I've been waiting for a game like this, that isn't the 2016 playstation version. Before VR games got good. Now we got Blade and sorcery, Ghost of Tabor, thrill of the fight, Virtual Fighting championship, Dragon fist kung fu VR, Iron man VR and moooore.
Also we already 4 AAA games and a ton of DLCs. The arkham series is done already. I own all of them.

There's already a really good (in my opinion) official batman arkham vr game.

I'm not disappointed, I'm a VR fan and I've been waiting a long time for this game. This is not a game made by WB or Rocksteady. It's a game made by a studio that creates only VR games and fully funded by Meta. This is a game for VR FANS. Do you think that as a VR fan I have no right to a good Batman game? So cut the bullshit and deal with it.
He's asking why not we have both a VR version and the version everyone prefers

@@ironking4698 It can't be because VR games have their own mechanics that can't be done in a flat game. Just run HL: Alyx in non-VR mode to see how poor it will look. And vice versa, it works the same, because a VR port from flat would be a weak VR game. Besides, Meta creates this game mainly to promote its headset, it does not do it for all platforms.

Arkham Beyond for sure should be the next game. While the Arkhamverse was separate from BTAS both franchises did a lot of the same things in their own way very well narratively that made them so renowned. Arkham if anything left an even more natural stepping off point for Beyond whereas the original made it happen completely from scratch but in a way that felt organic and consistent.
The only issue I have with wanting a Batman Beyond movie or game is we are so far and away from having the kind of writers who could hold a candle to the original at all. Like we just saw with scorch, if you can’t do the character justice, leave them the f alone. And rocksteady or WB studios sure as HELL couldn’t do the Arkham verse or a Batman beyond spin off within it right at all. I’d rather they let it stay where it is.
But if you did happen to find passionate and talented writers who understood the appeal to the property and how to take it to the next level, an Arkham beyond game is the best answer for sure. Just get Paul Dini back. At this point he’s pretty much the only person I would trust to knock it out of the park. As well as the original devs from Arkham since they know the formula best, but that’s all such a long shot…

It could at least be more respectful to the Arkhamverse than that of SSKTJL. Even if that isn't saying much.
VR Gaming isn't worth it in my opinion. I know VR has been getting more fuller games than just small experience games like Arkham VR that was connected to Arkham Knight.
But forgive me if I don't wanna wear a piece of tech on my face that's probably gonna be red hot after an hour or something. (Sorry if that's not how the headsets work, I'm just working off my imagination here.)
