    Hello, excellent review! I was curious to know which microphone you used as the main one to record this video? The sound looks pretty good too.

    I think the idea for the battery thing is that you can buy extras and have them pre-loaded with fresh batteries and just swap out the whole shebang. Also the rubber flap may provide moisture protection

      Interesting. I didn't think about it like that before. Thanks for letting me know.

      You can buy separately the Sony BATC-2AA Battery Holder Case for the D11 and pre-load it as well. the day I bought one along with my D11's. Costs $13.50.

    i have the dji mic and i do hidden camera pranks. But i dont like the range of the dji. I was planning to buy the d11. Cause all the big channels use the Sony Uwp d21. is there a big range different between the two?

    Hey, glad this video was made 2 days ago. Have you ever used the rode go 2 system? I am thinking about switching over since I have an FS7 and FX30. Thoughts on why I might want to?

      Also, do you recommend any lavs with these sets? I would just go buy a countryman or something not having tested any of the sony lavs.

      yes, I have a rode go II. I did a review on my channel. I like it, but the DJI Mic is better, although Rode just released a firmware update on the Go 2 that improves different features. -- if you're asking me if you should switch to the Sony D21 for a FS7/FX30, my answer would be yes, as long as you buy Sony's hot shoe connection that allows you to mount the receiver directly to your Sony camera.

      The Sony lavs are okay for lower budget productions. Sanken COS-11D are the best lavs, but pricey. I personally use Voice Technologies VT500 lav mics.

      @@VideoGizmology are the sony d21 much beter than the wireless go ii? I have the go ii, thinking of going to the dji mic but now researching the d21

    • @VideoGizmology

      @@EleazarGray the Sony D21 is a different kind of wireless frequency system that has been used for decades. Only recently has the 2.4GHz systems been popular with consumer wireless. the radio. So if you want stronger, more professional wireless connection, choose the Sony. Or if you have Sony cameras and you want to use the Sony hotshoe adapter, choose the Sony. I think the Sony sounds slightly better as well, but I doubt most average ears will be able to notice the difference.

    You dont need to upgrade to D21 for the MI shoe function because D11 also has that. Its unfortunate that Sony do not put the screen at the bottom of the RX because its not possible to see the screen when it is mounted on the cam.

    Wasup i just got the Sony a7 iv & I wanna record me being followed be camera talking to people in streets at night, looking at this or the D11 or just a ride mic , putting it up my shirt, can some1 tell me what to get if I have my A7 iV & I want to get great audio & a flash on the camera too at the same time

    • @VideoGizmology
      @VideoGizmology  Před rokem +1

      for what you need the audio for, I would just get a Rode Wireless Go II or DJI Mic, not these Sony packs. They are mid-level professional, but a little over kill for what you're doing. So go with a digital wireless system, like Rode or DJI or any of the newer brands making digital wireless kits, and I'd get a half cage for your Sony camera, attached the audio receiver to the cage, so you can use your camera's hot shoe for flash.
