  • This will be a first in another series of videos as we discuss the best books ever written about the runes. First off is a great starter book: A Practical Guide to the Runes by Lisa Peschel. Reading is a great way to start building your knowledge. For the more advanced runester reading is often the best way to expand and deepen your knowledge. I also added a little bit from one of my favorites, Leaves of Yggdrasil by Freya Aswynn (more on that one in the future). Join the discussion, share your favorite rune books.
Here is a link to Lisa's book available on amazon:

Freya's book may be out of print as it is so expensive now but it is such an important book if you can get a copy, get one. Here's a link I found for one:

Freya is truly a master and her insight and teachings from just this one book has guided me all through my decades of study. I come back to it again and again. I am so happy to find that she is still active in the craft!
It's so fitting that this is my ninth video for the channel and this just happened to be my first video on the books about our craft. Nine is the rune Hagalaz the rune of change and disruption. I hope to change the way you study runes and have you reach to these great books. Disrupt the status quo and guide you to deeper understandings.
