24x12, 7inch lip, rearend shortened 1 1/2 inches on both sides

Got a ? Bro but currently doing a 79 El Camino frame and where you notched at the front did you put anything back in to put strength back from what you took out? I hear it gets pretty weak when you notch the front
The metal I put back is a little bit thicker that what I cut out. There really isn’t any additional bracing you can put up front for front frame notches.
