Hi You've used a picture of my wonderful Murphy here - he's the one with his paws on Sion my six foot son for context. They are so gorgeous and gentle. Murphy often visits my wife's special needs school for the students to meet and hug. He's so patient with them.
Your Murphy is quite handsome! Our "Frosty" aka Balthorn the Frost Giant, is a mere 125 lbs at just over 2 yrs old. He stands 6 ft tall. (I think he was the runt of the litter but he's perfect in every way❤)
Man, my Dad's neighbour has two of these. And he has an itty bitty papillon. And the little guy always runs circles around them while they look confused as hell. XD

They are amazing dogs. But unfortunately they have a short lifespan because of their size. They only lived to be about 6 years old and are old at about 4

Omg, I've been waiting to find something on the internet about Irish wolfhounds!!! We had friends who raised them when I was young...they needed a whole horse property. Lol I sometimes I groomed them...they were more like horses!
I've had the pleasure of many Irish Wolfhounds and loved every single one of them. My last one named Dublin, just passed away. My Wolfhounds all made it 11+ years with us. Miss them all so very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😂❤ i saw another video about an irish wolfhound.. a lady who owned one was sitting down with her huge dog right beside her.. And a like 4 or 5 year old little girl walked by and said.. "i like your dragon..." 😂😂😂 that cracked me up.. so cute. They sure are gentle giants those irish wolfhounds..❤
So when the Spanish rolled up on Mexico in the 1500s, they brought IRISH WOLFHOUNDS with them. The biggest local dog was a medium small sized hairless dog that was sometimes used for meat but little else. Basically the Spanish rolled up with dogs that could look the locals in the eye
Awesome seeing someone put so much energy into socializing their Irish Wolfhound, they can be wary of strangers if you don't put in that work and with how big they are that can be rough
The first time I ever saw one of these dogs, it was from far away. The dog was on a boat dock and I was in a boat about 300 feet from it. I could not believe my eyes. I thought it was a man in a costume at first. He was the most abominable animal I've ever seen! Adorable at the same time. And he had a very sweet and gentle personality.
They are perfect doggies. Sensitive, loving, always craving attention. I've owned two, and they were literally perfect. And yes, one of them used to love to gently retrieve dog treats from the top of my head as a greeting when I got home from work. I'm 5'11".

Our last dog was half Irish Wolfhound (other half was Maremma) we thought we missed the chewing phase but suddenly at about a year and a half she started chewing on one corner of baseboards and the living room table leg. The phase passed and we got her more things to chew on...
