Im 29 and have had ADHD for as long as i can remember. Don’t need medication. I’ve used it to my advantage. I’ll outwork pretty much everyone around me because i don’t get tired. I need to learn by doing instead of being taught but its never hindered me. I’ve studied history and absolutely love learning new skills. The medication aspect is bullshit. I felt like a zombie on adderal. Just let me get my shit done. Guarantee ill do it faster and better than most in the job market.

Note. This comes with some downfalls. an addictive personality, especially to alcohol and tobacco. It also comes with a difficulty in falling asleep which is why i personally drink heavily after work. However, there are healthier ways than the ones I’ve chosen to counteract these.

Matt Walsh has become a major speaker and frankly, a Christian, intellectual, take-no-prisoners force of nature when it comes to speaking on major social issues. One of the biggest roadblocks to remedying the emasculation problem is that - in great part due to the abysmal diseducation policies in teaching Matt spoke of - each successive generation of men has fewer fathers properly able to exhibit and teach those masculine skills.

You are doing well in showing him what logic and common sense look like. The attack on masculinity makes no sense whatsoever, since it is that very natural essence of men that built this society. The Agenda’s first order of business was to target men, reduce their roles in society, and within their families. Men “and” women need to align, not be at odds. It is exactly what the divide intends to accomplish.

@@georgewashington938 No u do not. What u claim is ‘happening right in front of ur face’ is misleading. What most of us r seeing is nothing but some people reacting to disinformation intentionally put out as propaganda to promote an underlying agenda. Matt Walsh wants monetary success, so he is fishing for views, clicks, & book sales. If u want to understand the fact of life that existed long before the recent right wing propagated attacks against these minorities (trans & gay people) then u must use the same basic process as to hire a contractor or plumber or to choose a doctor or mechanic. The ole saying dont see a plumber for a toothache. The only way a person can possibly feel more educated by listening to Walsh or media or their neighbor, etc in place of a gender expert (some one who has specialized education & experience working in that field) the only way that can happen is to have a person carry a bias, a preferred narrative, in place of maintaining an open mind to the facts supported by objective evidence. We saw this during covid, in anti-vax rhetoric, & then the 2020 election.
Gay people have always existed, so have trans people. If u hope to understand why u r hearing more about this, I offer 2 activities.
First, study up in ur preferred medium (read or listen to or watch information put forth by gender experts who have committed their education & careers to this subject long before the recent debates)
Second, turn off right wing or conservative media for 30 days & see how much ur personal life actually intersects with any of this. If u dont want to see PRIDE clothes at Target, nothing will help u….as u r already allowing ignorance to form bigotry against the gay community. But if u r afraid that people r attempting to turn ur grand kids or children or neighbors trans or gay, Im quite confident u will hear crickets for that month. Civil rights did not turn people black & gay/trans rights as well cannot turn any previously straight person….including kids…..gay or trans.
Hoping for acceptance ushered in through education is not grooming nor is it a threat to masculinity. If u believe Walsh to b a ‘real man’ based on his own parameters, I suggest u research his background. I am blue collar in the midwest. We know that being a man is about integrity & dependability, accepting responsibility. Its not about how a person dresses or wether they have a beard or wear a flannel shirt.
When I hear anyone label an entire group of people as broad stereotypes without evidence of said behavior while ignoring other groups (such as walsh claiming to b a Catholic while not confronting their sexual misconduct against children) or having ‘selective outrage’ I hear nothing but a bully &/or a grifter.
Don’t believe everything u read or view, but if u feel the need to do so, at least b sure they r experts……just as u do with, lets say by expecting the pilot of ur commercial airplane to b someone more than a random person with opinions about flying.

@@timothycushing5473Well the term tomboy has been around a long time and has nothing to do with a girl becoming a boy.
But this is a much broader subject in that a girl who likes playing more physical games with boys or a boy who seems quieter and not so rambunctious isn’t becoming a girl. This is all part of growing up and it ignites personal past situations and stories.

Yeah... Who told you to speak? This response (of timothycushing) is telling. This video is part of a broader effort to push back on changes in society for the better, it is a reaction to people (typically white men) being held accountable for their actions, being restricted in what they can do and say to others. The irony is that they talk about manhood by being pussies about it.
No one is saying that as a boy you can't climb a tree anymore or wrestle with your peers. That's not what this is about. It is about folks not being happy that bullying minorities and women is no longer socially acceptable.
I am a white male by the way who does not feel threatened by progressive culture shifts. I welcome them. I do take issue with reactionary movements trying to take us back a century. That is what this is. There is money behind it, it is not just this video, it is a deliberate campaign and the end goal is very dark.

Just the other day, my 2 y/o son was running around crazy and couldn't stand still for a nanosecond. I literally said to him, "What is wrong with you? Do you see how well-behaved and still your sister is?" So I now understand that I was looking at the situation through the lenses of a woman. You are 100% right! I can't tell you how much this speech has now changed my outlook. I don't want to hinder my sons' masculinity. Extremely helpful. Thank you!

Now spread what you’ve learned to other mothers who have boys. Another thing to teach is team sports if possible mainly because they learn teamwork, discipline, and commitment. We always insisted our sons keep commitments when they were stressed or worried about failing. They thank us often for never letting them quit and for teaching them how to work. They were also taught to respect their mother and they respect their wives today. I was fortunate to have a great husband.

    • @scamacho773
      @scamacho773 Před 4 lety +2

@Fen Groves Thank you for proving my point. Hate in any form is bad for the family unit and some people make hate happen and others let it happen. Either way the family unit suffers and the cycle is repeated again and again untill someone accepts responsibility and takes steps to end the pattern and begins the healing process. A good book for anyone to understand the organized assault on the family is Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" . Alinsky's community organizing has been weaponized by the social scientists to get rid of mothers and fathers or making them ineffective. It only takes one or two generations of ignorance, dogma, addiction, both parents working, violence or sexual assault to destroy an otherwise strong family. The media, social services, schools, religion, nihilism, the economy and the justice system are used effectively in this war against the family. The "troops" used in this war against the family (society) are called Social Justice Warriors. Some of these SJWs know exactly what the goal is but most are "useful idiots" and are just "doing their jobs".

Points proven that misandry really happens (men are told to man it up iwhile women are accountable-free) which is blatantly apparent in your post. I'll just say what about the BOYS and MEN who were sexually assaulted and/or raped by WOMEN? WILL YOU DEFEND the victim just LIKE YOU DEFEND women (who usually lies [false rape case])? Should it be treated seriously ONLY to GIRLS (which what you wrote)? However, with this current climate where innocent men are put to jail, and get his life destroyed and ruined by false allegations of rape/sexual assault case without any evidence and women can get away without any accountability and responsibility whatsoever... It makes what should constitute justice and equality be thrown out to the garbage. All those women movement will and lose their values. Until women's movement and feminism supports men's and boys' problems just like what is beautifully presented in this speech, there will be always a big rift and divide on society. And feminism WILL always blame men for any PROBLEMS they create themselves (which is partly true, especially simp men who let guilty women get away without any responsibility and accountability by guilt-tripping their men all the time).

Me too is a movement to stop entitled people (who happen to mostly be men because of the patriarchy) feeling as though and brought up to think that women are their sources of pleasure and should be used as such without regard for their choice in the matter or their mental problems afterwards. Of course it’s conservatives who come out and say women should like being sexually harassed and anyone who’s against it is just a feminist man hater. Then, Family mattered especially after the horrific WW1 & WW2. The biggest influence as far as I can verifiably put forward apart from TV and Movies, was predominantly the advent of the birth control pill for young females which, by removing the threat of imminent parenthood, probably ushered in an explosion of underage/teenage sexual relationships. Many other factors coincidental such as , for America, the Vietnam war, breakdown of close family units and ultimately children, especially boys being raised without a father in a 'one parent' family, as was so aptly explained by Matt!

To be fair, boys did just fine for decades with the traditional school system, and were able to sit still at desks and learn just as well as girls. What changed? Not humans. In my opinion, what changed is 1. the number of distractions humans deal with on a daily basis, and 2. diet. Kids are raised with smart phones, Internet, computers, television, video games, ect. There are literally dozens of things at all times demanding any one person's attention, and that's not even counting family, jobs, and responsibilities. For diet, everything we eat is loaded with sugar and caffeine. Both of these grew worse with the rise of ADHD in children.

Great points especially about the ADHD for boys . Our education system has not catered to all types of humans and as you say a boy needs heaps of energy to prepare for real work in the fields or forest, whereas other boys will be a different class of the studious brahmin class who prefers to learn .

As a father of a very energetic 4 year old boy it makes me so happy to hear another dad talk about this subject. I have always said that he is just an active boy and there is nothing wrong with him. However when people including nursery staff started throwing words like ADHD around you start to doubt yourself. We live in the UK and spoke to our health visitor a professional who works for the NHS and helps parents raising young children with support and advice. She quickly disregarded these comments and helped us address some areas of his behaviour. It is a cliche, but "boys will be boys". As a dad I view my roll to that similar to a bumper on a bowling lane. My son will roll along in the direction that life takes him, I am just here to guide him and keep him out of the gutter.

52:13 Damn right, and it's nice to hear him acknowledge that. I've been a teacher in the public schools, and the fact is you just don't have the resources or the ability to do things the way you want to, except to a very limited extent. You can have the best intentions, but you have to jump through a million hoops, you're underfunded, you're under pressure to do things in certain prescribed ways and not cause controversy, the administration only has your back in certain limited ways... It really isn't teachers' fault. They are set up to fail.

I absolutely agreed with Matt about ADHD.. the key word being AGREED.. because when I separated from my husband he took our son to the doctor to be diagnosed with ADHD.. and I was FURIOUS because to me he was just a rambunctious boy.. BUT, one day while my son and I were at the bowling alley, and nobody was beside us.. and he was fine.. when a family started playing next to us, my son started to behave like a crazy person.. his eyes glazed over.. and I watched him and thought this isn’t normal.. the extent of his behaviour was worrying at the least. So I found a specialist who DIDNT AUTOMATICALLY DIAGNOSE ADHD.. and preferred to diagnose kids after extended tests and interactions with kids, which cost THOUSANDS.. and my son is on the low spectrum of autism with ADHD.. BUT.. as an adult.. and after I bought him a business.. he is sensational.. his work ethic is second to none and although he hasn’t made many friends yet.. he is succeeding.. BUT I DEFINITELY KNOW MOST KIDS DO NOT HAVE ADHD.. when my son was at school I volunteered a lot and one kid who was on medication DID NOT HAVE ADHD and I told the parents.. and advised them to move schools, for a few reasons, which they did and they haven’t stopped thanking me.. because their son is a doctor now..

Problem: just what *is* "masculinity" -- or "femininity", for that matter. The definitions can vary wildly depending on culture. I've noticed that when Matt talks about "society", he means modern mainstream (American, European and Asian) cultures. Looking wider might give him a better sense of perspective. We would do better to decide on the characteristics and behavior of "adulthood" as versus childishness.
One good tactic for dealing with male rambunctiousness in school is to start the day by marching the kids (yes, the girls too) out into the hallway and make them *exercise* -- do calisthenics until they're tired enough to want to sit down and study. BTW, if you think girls aren't energetic too, you've never seen a nine-year-old girl determinedly skipping rope (or bouncing on a pogo stick) trying to make it to 100.

I’m Australian, grew up in Sydney. I was a straight A’s student from about age 5 to 18. Years 5 and 6 I was sent to a school with an “Opportunity Class” for gifted kids, and went to a Selective High School where entry was merit based again. Most schools here are not co-Ed, my high school was all boys. Our school moto was “Manners Maketh Man”. We were Expected to do well, both academically and in sports, drama, pretty much everything. I never ever heard the term ADHD. Years later when I heard the term I looked back and still didn’t know anyone like that. I was very good at school, always in A classes, but I was the school “bad boy”, always in trouble for talking in class. Discipline was strict, the punishment for playing up was meted out by the Deputy Principal. I t involved “6 of the best”, being flogged across the hand, held palm up at shoulder height by a cane, 3 feet long and about the thickness of your thumb. It hurt like hell for hours afterwards. It had zero effect tbh. In fact not crying about it was a mark that I’d won. What it did teach me was that actions have consequences and that sometimes they are unpleasant, but crying about won’t do anything, you have to be a man, take your licks and be strong.

I was dismissed from my job as a tenured professor at Acadia University for having questioned leftist ideology. For example, I was labelled as transphobic for having stated that there are only 2 genders and explaining the biological basis for this. I was also accused of condoning rape because I showed a video from the Independent Women's Forum that featured a discussion between Camille Paglia and Christina Hoff Sommers; the issue of contention was that Camille said that it's important for women to stand up for themselves in the workplace rather than say nothing and then accuse someone of harassment months after the fact.

I appreciate Mr. Walsh's admission that he is more about raising problems than finding solutions. He indeed shouts loudly about a problem for which he does not have a solution. He views humans as either female or male - period and unchangeable. Mr. Walsh argues that females and males must behave in certain ways and when they do not behave "the right way", they should be corrected - until - they - do. Thus, because of your sex, you had better act - this or that way; or else [bad things]. Why does Mr. Walsh think that? Because he is Catholic? Because he is Christian? Because he believes in the Bible? Because he knows better than people who actually work with people who do not meet his expectation? Well, how far should those - "bad things" go? What should we be willing to do to a person, "to make them", into who we think they should be rather than who they think they should be? What freedoms? What liberties? What happiness should be withheld from them as they consistently insist on who - they - really - are? Should we expect them to demand liberty or death? Because they do!
Mr. Walsh discounts the many families, who have children, who do not behave as expected for their sex. He speaks as if discipline is all that is needed. As if punishment, or education, or extra time would somehow fix this child. BUT IT DOES NOT! Mr. Walsh offers no solutions because he has no solution that does not conflict with what he wants to make us believe. This is the same logic that caused Galileo to be condemned for correctly stating the Earth revolves around the Sun. Like his predecessors, Mr. Walsh is all to willing to throw another brick on the backs of already overloaded families. He is all too willing to hammer another nail in the crucifix of another, deceased child, who did not meet his expectations for their sex. It is disappointing to see so many otherwise good people, speak so coldly with no alternative solutions.Edit - added reference: (See Gavin Grim v. Gloucester County School District, Brief for Amicus Curiae InterACT: Advocates for intersex youth, at URL: www.aclu.org/legal-document/grimm-v-gloucester-county-brief-interact-advocates-intersex-youth ).

Let me answer the lady!! I'll answer her!!
I'm a christian too. When we say "everyone knows what's right vs wrong intrinsically, you are ignoring the enemy confusing, tempting and the word that says "time will come when it will be call the bad "good" and the good "bad". The best way for the enemy to do this is through influence. In other words, making you feel good about something that is bad. Eliminating laws and saying things can be legal, you are eliminating that extra layer of safety given to humans to re-enforce what is good vs bad.
For example, the very controversial marihuana. We all know scientifically its bad to your neurons when used in the way most people use it. It also puts you in a high, non cognitive state. Nothing about that can be good. However, the enemy is telling everyone that it is good. That its fun, and it cures illnesses, etc. The enemy don't discuss the manipulations the plant undergoes to be used as treatment. The enemy does not separate the bad from the good because he wants you to do the bad. Having the law, helps control people that are confused, that are listening to the enemy, specially non-christians, to avoid a catastrophe. To avoid affecting their lives dramatically and potentially escalating to worse drugs. When you remove the law and the drug is now legal everywhere, it becomes the next alcohol, which most people abuse and everyone around them is affected.
As a libertarian, you may want to say "its their life, its their body, its their problem". But that's not true. We are all affected. An alcohol addict cannot function properly at work, affecting coworkers and his potential professional future. In that case, we may end up maintaining them thriugh welfare. An alcoholic cannot function as a dad or husband, potentially (and very oftentime) becoming abusive at home or absent affecting the spouse and children. Alcohol and drugs is one of the main causes of car accidents. Affecting other people's life and potential deaths. Not to say that we all as tax payers are affected by the amount of our money used to pay for more police resources, security gadgets, laws and politicians to control alcohol abuse, government propaganda, government programs, and hospital bills for all of those dependent on government paid (tax payer paid) healthcare.
Laws are important to maintain values as good and immorality as bad.

As a female who was not at a school “tailored to her” I disagree with this.
I was classed as the “thick child”, I wasn’t helped in school, I wasn’t loud or bouncy, I was quiet and I couldn’t concentrate and I couldn’t bring my grades up no matter how hard I tried and I was punished because I wasn’t able to do so.
I cried out for help because I was desperately struggling and no one listened to me. I didn’t get help, I went through so much pain, confusion and bullying because I knew I wasn’t thick but I couldn’t change the way I was.
I am now 32 and I’m on my way to being diagnosed ADHD and I am also dyslexic and I have Dyscalculia.
I would have been so happy if someone had taken the time to listen to me instead of ignoring me because I was a female.
