Hiking Big Slide Mountain (Phelps Trail & The Brothers) - Adirondacks, NY

A popular hike in the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park, Big Slide Mountain offers multiple routes to the summit with outstanding views of the Great Range (on a clear day), challenging rock scrambles, peaceful brook crossings, and a beautiful forest setting. This video shows a 9.5-mile loop route of Big Slide, ascending via the Phelps Trail and Big Slide Brook, and descending via The Brothers, a group of three smaller mountains on Big Slide's ridge.
