  • FemaleLumberjack aka Felixia Banck visits STIHL Denmark for a safety talk with the head of the technical department at STIHL Denmark and to see what happens if you cut into your chainsaw protection pants with the ms261c or msa220.
Thank you STIHL Denmark for the playdate!
    Disclaimer:
Don’t ever try to cut yourself on purpose - even though you are wearing the right protective equipment. The protective equipment is there to protect you if an actual accident should happen.
STIHL does not recommend ever sewing/repairing your chainsaw pants!

Great test. I just bought, for my son who’s learning to saw, a pair of the stihl pro mark chainsaw chaps for around the farm cutting. They had the highest safety rating of any chaps on the market here in U.S. Thanks again for the professional video test. Have a great day and keep smiling.

Would it be wise to wear such trousers when only using a multitool long reach chainsaw(hochentaster). A non running chainsaw once fell over on my chin bone and took out a splinter of bone. I was wearing (rented)chainsawchaps, felt safe then found out, they won't help against puncture wounds! Now I won't touch a normal one until I get proper training. I do however feel very safe using one of those small saws on a long pole. What would you recommend?

Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved.
