im a mercedes guy, AMG owner myself, but I gotta admit this new facelift X5M definitely has more road presence and aggressivness then the new 2024 GLE63s. Both are beasts, but id choose the GLE as a better daily driver. This in my opinion is a little too stiff and hardcore for a family SUV.
Definitely stiffer than the gle63s
I was gonna get the 2023 x5m comp but i got a 2023 x5m50i
Much more comfortable and with a few mods i walk x5m compe and gles all day

As much as I love the X5M, I'd say it makes more sense to stick to an X3 M40i or X5 M60i. The performance is very close if you look at the numbers.
It’s honestly about size, need, and for some people wanting that V8.
The X3M is on a completely different level from the X3 M40i
Yh that's just numbers, when you drive you realize the need for the competition version
And they also sound better than the full M versions in my opinion
An X3M maybe, not a X3 60M at all, an X5 60M isn’t a actual true M missing a ton of M performance options, it isn’t close. I’ve owned both and it isn’t nothing like the M comp. Over 30K difference in starting price just isn’t seats, so that should tell you something. People that say they are close, really doesn’t know the difference in an actual true M car.
It is one of my favorite cars and the interior and exterior are very beautiful and it is fast and agile for a car that is an SUV with four wheels. 👍

That pull up the slope of Pelican Hill speaks volumes. You can tell how good a car can accelerate in less than optimal conditions using that hill

I really want to purchase the X6M Competition in January, but my labradoodle can't fit in the back because of the sloped roof. So, I've started looking the X5M and am warming up to it. I'm going to test drive this weekend so we'll see. Regardless, it's a beautiful automobile.

Rather get a M3 or M5. I really never understood the point of these M SUV'S
America loves SUVs. BMW is just fulfilling the demand..
When you grow up and have a family and can no longer haul them in a sedan you get a M suv so you can still have some fun.
Some people like to sit up higher to get a better view of the road and curbs.

The real problem is this vehicle is way overpriced for what you get. And a $50K Tesla Model Y Performance absolutely destroys it in performance. I really wish BMW would lower their prices at least into the stratosphere. The fact that the X5M loses literally $30K of value after just one year of ownership is insane.
That color is so dull
The X5M bottom seat bolsters are too still and tight. The car is too twitchy and stiff. Not relaxing or luxury at all. Hard pass.

I was disappointed when Carwow showed the RS6 getting smoked by the much cheaper BMW M3 Touring with two less cylinders and almost the same amount of usable space. So the RS6 has alot of polishing to do before coming back on stage.

Not same class, not even close in x5m comp being a better all around car.
