- My first night drive POV in the M5! My 1000+ mile road trip to Ohio from Georgia couldn't go undocumented while being in this city. Starting in Covington, Kentucky I cross the bridge over the Ohio River to drive around in downtown Cininnati, Ohio.

This V10 sounds good at any RPM low or high even in the middle.. that's why is legendary
My corolla 4 cyl sounds a lot better

How you liking this piece man. I really want one any advise on keeping her running? Has she been good to you?
She has been good man, I’ve had it for almost 8 years now and almost at 150k miles. My advice would be to buy one from a private seller that way you can ask about its service records and what’s been replaced. Unless you can find one at a dealer where the service was well documented through carfax which sometimes happens, you just want to know if the rod bearings and smg pump have been replaced, and the throttle actuators would be nice too but I’m still on my originals so it’s not necessary (although many have had theirs go bad well before my mileage)

Just curious does the smg bother i mean is it comfortable to drive ?
Sorry for the late response, I’ve got used to it after 7 years. I do wish it was smoother in the city but I wouldn’t say it bothers me. When I first bought the car I thought it was weird and literally thought something was wrong with it lol, but after a while you realize the faster/higher rpm you shift, the smoother and quicker the shifts are and that makes a big difference.

Absolutely, but there are several factors that play into it, mostly what has been or hasn’t been replaced by the previous owner. But that’s with any car… you could buy a used Camry tomorrow and if the belts are worn and snap, it wouldn’t be the car’s fault, but the neglected maintenance from the previous owner. But mine has been amazing on road trips and in the past two months have been trouble free to Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and Alabama.
