Alright guys, so quick poll: What is THE EASIEST mini ramp trick? (doesn't have to be in the video)
If you're used to kick-turning on flat, then kick-turns. If you're not then I would say rock to fakie would probably come first.
Justin Lauria Skateboarding Definetely - Rock to Fakie. Learned it the very first. (For instance took me 2 training days to do it, and more than 10 training days to do a drop and much more for tail stall.)
Took me two years to get rock to fakies!
Kickturns 👍👍
NSI Skateboarding [Justin Lauria] I was the same man. Just lean on that front foot and go for it. It’s soooo much easier than you think.
Meanwhile me skating for 6 months and still don't have the balls to drop in.
Meanwhile me skating for more than a year still don't have balls to do ollie while rolling
Nachtigall yeah that was quite scary too
I feel you bro
@Leo DS Thank you so much bro
Bro just do it I doubt you would fuck up that bad I lead with my face first time don't do that or just get it over with no pain no gain
Please wear a helmet
Your page is really helpful for beginners. A lot of theses things i had never thought about. I am 27 but i started at 15. Day one i learned ollie riding and was hooked. The best advice i think you need to continue to include in videos is
1. Asking better skaters advice
2. Having friends you skate with.
"to not be afraid to ask older or better skaters because most of them are going to give you some advice. i remember asking this dude that i would see at the park a lot skating who had a great style to what he did and i cant remember exactly what i asked him but he answered and said 'by the way you nollie flip like mark appleyard' ill never forget that because here i am 16 thinking i am nothing special yet someone who was a great skater was actually paying attention to me some made me feel great.(i cant lie i knew i had a sick nollie flip haha) But also stressing the importance of having friends you skate with! My friends and i pushed each other continuously with games of SKATE and just in general...basically as soon as one of us got a trick the other wasn't far behind because nobody wants to lose SKATE so even if it is something out of your comfort zone having that competitive drive will take you out of your comfort zone much easier and show you there are things you never thought you could do."
Scott Foster yes I agree. I just started skating and I can’t even Ollie yet. To bad u don’t live in Washington state cuz I’d say let’s go and skate. Haha. Lol
Ok, so I have been watching a lot of your videos lately, they are all amazing and extremely informative. There is something about your presentation which just feels so genuine, as in one can really get the vibe that you are really there for people who want to start skateboarding or maybe learn new tricks and that you just really want them to go ahead and jump on their boards. You have inspired and motivated me a lot, thank you and best of luck to you and your channel!
Hands down most informative skateboard channel I've seen, great job.
thanks this was a really helpful video as i had learnt some tricks and was stuck with what to learn next
Nice list, I'm definitely going to try learning these !
Thanx man! Haven't seen anything useful about slash grind on CZcams before.
Love it that there are a couple of tricks I wouldn't of even considered tricks. Nose tap and 360. Appreciate the help.
Heck yes man! Glad there was something interesting/helpful in there for you 👊
Great video thanks
These are sick thanks man
I am watching this video for the second time. First time (6 weeks ago) I couldn't even imagine to drop in. Now I can already do the tricks 2,3,4,8 and almost number 6 :)
Good video! I can do them all! I also love backside disaster, fronside feeble, pivots, smiths and blunt to rock!
Nice dude, I don't have all of those yet 😌 haha
Another awesome video. I’ve got a few of these but really like your suggestions. Going to add them to my ‘to do’ list. Thanks.
Thanks for the undying support Greg!
Nice i love the tricks you do because they are kind of easy and they look cool
That’s the best skatepark I have ever seen 👌🏻
nailed rock to fakie and rock and rolls, getting my front side kick turns better, backside are on point , slash grinding and getting into a axle stall just terrify me, just learning to air out just now, been skating on and off since last august, so making a little bit of progress, nailed two heelflips over the last couple days though !
Awesome video. I wish I could try them but still awesome video. Oh, and I liked the Fly Out trick (6:14) the most.
Muy bueno 👌🏽
great video man
this is great content, yo.
The nose tap is funny. I'm gonna have to try that next time I skate. Thanks for the video.
Haha it is really silly. It's one of those "huh...I never thought to do that..." (maybe for good reason though lol)
Thanks
Good list. I really need to work on my tail stalls.
Yes, you gotta get those down ASAP!
Cheers buddy! Liked and subbed!
Ótimas dicas, obrigado.
de nada 🤙
Love your videos! You explain everything to make it intuitive, the editing is perfect, each segment is concise and succinct.
...and it doesn’t hurt that if I were into guys, you would be exactly my type...
if you were in Oklahoma, you’d already have a restraining order against me lol.
Well then consider me flattered! 😲
You made them seem so easy !
You can do these tricks man, I've seen you skate!!
I now have good rock to fakies. Now to learn tail stall.
Easy starting with a fakie pop suv it. haha. Cool video Sir
I knew the fakie tail stall would be on here 😂👍👍😁
I had to! haha
ayeeeee i be seening you out there at house
that backyard cement mini ramp is sick ! Did you have to lay down some re-bar first and use a little wood for the forms? How much would all the material for a mini-ramp that size cost? By the way, your tutorials are great!!!
Look up some tutorials on how to build a mini ramp, you'll get all the info there.
Fake 360 pivot is really fun
I just learnt fly out Edit thanks for the love never stop improving
inspired
just built a miniramp. grabbing my board rn XD
This is the first video where I can do all the pre-requisite tricks
I love San Marcos it is a great park...
Same here, I need to make another trip out there ASAP. One day I'd like to get over that spine, it's so sick
Are these tricks could be used at bowl?
Hitting my first mini ramp this week never really skated parks but ran out of street spots. Hope I dont die parks are more slippery than street.
Hey ya for that
I’ve been to that skate park
what's your board made of?
My mans at house park
rad video thank u so much! Is that mini you are doing rock to fakies on in Mueller or is that in your backyard? haha
Backyard! 🤙
You really need to get that trim sorted g
Too bad you haven't seen any of my latest like 25+ videos!
@@NeverStopImprovingSB hahaha all jokes man haha
@@NeverStopImprovingSB quite cool how you still reply on a year old video
Rock the ship
So far i have Rock to Fakie, BS Slashgrinds, BS Rock and Rolls, Fakie 360 pivot, and I nearly have the Tail Stall learned.
Very nice!
Can you do a video but just for axle stools on a mini ramp?!
Here you go!
czcams.com/video/les2X8jaqhU/video.html
2:48 what skatepark is this? I saw it in xqcs video lol
I was with ya until that fakie disaster. I can't even land an ollie on flat ground.
That's the beauty of that trick! You don't have to ollie at all.
In fact, when you first start learning it, you can just let the back wheels roll right over the coping. It looks a little underwhelming, but it's better to start there than never learn it!
You can check out the fakie disaster tutorial to see what I'm talking about (see 1:22): czcams.com/video/-w4i8RJFKRQ/video.html
...and when you're ready to learn how to bonk the back wheels into the air, you can practice the motion using a crack on the sidewalk to emulate the coping (not the same as an ollie, and some people think it's much easier).
Cheers!
Even I can't do it, at least your videos make me think I could try. I'm 40 now, and haven't skated since I was a teen, so this only gets tougher...
you dont stop skating cos you get old,you get old cos you stop skating(jay adams)its only hard cos you aint skated for 20 odd years, get fit and healthy,i'm 59 and still shredding, make sure you eat healthy, stay slim,i feel no different than when i was 18,i'm very immature as well lol
Where are those skateparks? They’re awesome
Cedar park austin gang has taken over this post
i honestly found it so much easier to rock and roll before rock to fakie-ing
I can totally see that. You don't have to go backwards!
Anyone know where that bowl at 6:09 is at?
Northeast Metropolitan Park in Pflugerville, TX
Is fakie just the frond foot on the nose?
That's nollie. Fakie is BACK foot on the nose.
NSI Skateboarding [Justin Lauria]
Thanks
fakie is riding the nose but it feels like your riding regular
Regular-Nollie
Switch-Fakie
If you can do a trick regular your next step should be a fakie attempt
Kick turns or rock go fakir
Ok
Wait is that house park in austin???????????????
That's the one 😉
I just moved to another citie so sadly i don't have any friend that skates besides my little brother
Does Dillon have a CZcams channel Justin I’m curious
He hasn't started his CZcams channel yet :( Lately he's been posting to his Instagram though: @dillonstewartcf
Justin Lauria Skateboarding 😖 ok
Hey Justin
I'm worried about you, Hailey. Someone else got the first comment a few seconds before you did! 😲
Justin Lauria Skateboarding my uncle is getting married and I’m going to be a usher lol that’s that But im not the first to comment because I’m getting ready for the wedding
Haha OK good. Have a fun day!
Justin Lauria Skateboarding 😳
I can slash grind and axle star but still can’t rock to fakie...
Rock to fakie can be pretty dang scary. Do you happen to have access to a launch ramp/kicker (just a flat ramp that doesn't continue at the top so you can set your front wheels over it)? If so, you can practice the rock to fakie on that to get a feel for it before taking it to a quarter pipe.
