I've spent the last couple of days searching for tardigrades at Edinburgh University's Department of Evolutionary Biology. It also happens to be apple scrumping season. So it gives me great pleasure to announce the release of “Tardigrade Song Live at The Scrump”. It was filmed while making industrial quantities of cider on an ancient apple press in Devon!

YES!!! And drinking the apples. Pouring the sacred sacrament into each cell and space between. And becoming one with the apple and the ancient earth and Waters and Sun which nourished it. And a bunch of other things…but I get excited and I ramble.
I’ve never felt so understood, but by his mother who is just found after hearing Cosmo this morning. His father being Rupert Sheldrake, Cosmo might just be the incarnation of all the things the two are. That is perhaps the most hopeful thought!
To me, at this time, This music is family, home, ancestral Oneness. And it is presence. Timeless. Now. It is played loudly as a frequency for relief of suffering of the Palestinian people. The apple here is akin to their olive tree.
So grateful.

My sister and brothers dad Markus showed me you, and I'm 12 now I've been listening to your songs since I was hm, about 7, I saw you at Eden one year not sure what year it was cuz Ive been going to every Eden with my dad since I was about 3, you played amazing even if u did forget one peice of your equipment, the tent was packed and everyone loved you including me, I was crying my eyes out and my big brother Corran asked you if you could give me a hug and you agreed, I was so overwhelmed and I couldn't believe it, I just wanted to say thank you so much for filling a good chunk of my childhood with great music, love you cosmo xxxx

Now I want to organize a whole little summer festival in a village, where we bake our own bread and pick up apples and use wood to make a big fire.

Omg! How am I just discovering you now? I love Tardigrade! Fun fact: the oldest known record of Tardigradia in the fossil record comes from Raritan Amber, New Jersey, USA. It's 90-million years old!
Had a chem teacher in highschool who absolutely loves tardigrades and i shared this song with her ❤ I've always thought they were so cute and I just imagine a tardigrade taking a nap in a nice patch of moss while listening:)
I discovered how much I enjoyed this song along with this video a few months ago, and now I've come back to it because I was sitting here reading near the end of "Entangled Life", enjoying some narratives about yeasts and apples and as soon as Merlin mentioned "Scrumping" a sleeping section in my brain woke up and brought me back to this. I thought... "No way. I've watched what this is describing! The very event?" I love that it is upon the world in different forms in book and music video, and I can bring them together.
Also I've been to many a cider press and they are a delightful sensory and ancestral experience. I'm grateful I can read or watch about them and smell the apples in my memories. :)

god you’re so weird you superb ocean man. you’re truly an art form.
one of the most strange and at the same time fascinating things about these live videos is how performing Cosmo just blends with the environment. like, absolutely no one minding a man singing in the middle of an apple press. people just keep minding their business, and Cosmo really feels like a mirage or an alien call from somewhere else

Love your tunes, I've always been a huge fan of Edward Lear and EE Cummings. Now I play your music to my 3 and 5 year old girls, who love it too, I read all about Tardigrades and had decided that they made good role models and the very next day I found your song and it was so wierd that the song was what I had been reading about them little water bears. It seems they have less to fear, are less vulnerable and as a result they can afford to be a little naive because the consequences for them are miniscule. If something has no consequence why should they learn from it, that almost supernatural like a cause without an effect. I don't think they should fear fire or pressure if it has little consequence to them. I don't know what other troubles they might have tho, they probably have a little stress about desication, which hopefully hasn't caused them to have an overtly dry humour at times.
