As always, well thought out and on point. I always appreciate your technical information.
Thanks for the content.
Thanks for sharing this content. Any information on the manufacturer of the needle valve and the adapter for the manometer you want to share?
Greetings from Munich
nice one..
Great video, thanks mate, what about a booster?
Nice Intro!
Thank you for the Video!! What would intressts me is your habits of filling Stage (especially customer stages where you dont now esxactly where they have been), if you take it more slow? whats arround the l/min if you fill these?
And the 2nd question what be, which gas grades do you use. On O2 and He, what is considered to be "safe", there is a lot of diversity in the industrie would be great to here your 2 cents about that topic.
Best regards,
Lukas from Vienna
Run a 3 O2 cylinder cascade setup for partial pressure blending Nitrox. Have two needle valves inline with two filters. I don’t analyze the cylinders we get in. I read the stickers and check each cylinder as it arrives to verify contents. Each O2 cylinder is analyzed by supplier before leaving their facility. After I fill Nitrox cylinders I analyze each cylinder to verify content and label. Each cylinder is then analyzed by customer to verify before it can leave the shop and signed off on label.
If the contents were different than oxygen? It would have missed 3 analysis points. The supplier who must maintain records for human consumable oxygen cylinders per U.S. federal law. My initial analysis post blending, and customer analysis prior to leaving shop. I don’t know how better to do it.
As well, I use a Haskell booster pump driven off of our 300 bar 12 cylinder bank for He and O2 above 40%. Needle valve for boost pressure, needle valve from He cascade and needle valve from O2 cascade. Helium is regulated same as O2 and same 3 step analysis for human consumable gas.
That’s how it’s done here.
I don’t have a “home” setup. This is for a commercial dive shop.
Do you use any boosters or just leaving the last fills in your storage cylinder for good?
i always have several tanks so I can drain each to a minimum and add from the next one
What kind of analyzer do you recommend? Do you sell the setup in your filling classes?
Good one for the next Video!! Thanks Markus!
Danke 👍🏼👌🏼

No gasmixing at all. 😢
Why do you use digital preassure gauge ?
What happened with yellow submarine ?
Cause they are cheap and sturdy, whilst a good analg one is expensive and fragile. The digital one is accurate tp 0.1 bar, which is fine.
The sub sits in the workshop and waits to be finished. Not enough time and hands 😢
@@CoastalDevelopment thank you for information
how do you calibrate your O2 analyser without a known gas? It's like the chicken and the egg story... what comes first?
If I want to use ot for Gas up to 50% O2 I calibrate with air (that is known). For content of more then 50% I use pure O2. And yes, unless it is previously analyzed gas, we have the discussed issue, although very unlikely
