We can only hope that somehow Buddy found a new home somewhere else, wishful thinking I know but I hate thinking of the poor guy in pain, he was a sweet boy. @@theCodyReeder thanks, only about 1.5L. I’d like to play around with a flexible grow bag (using some 4 year greenhouse plastic), but got to finish the small version first.

Most 1-2 part hydroponic nutrient solution has stuff settled. Just shake it, it won’t make a difference to the algae/plants. It would be interesting if you could re-create Ph perfect from Advance nutrients, but at a higher ph value for your algae. That way you won’t need to mess with ph up/down.

Yay! An algae vid! I was thinking about asking either yourself or NileRed about making/extracting Dimethyloctahydronaphthalen-4a(2H)-ol - aka Geosmin, which I believe is a large part of the smell of rain when it approaches. Interested?
I've never thought about what causes rain smell, that's really interesting. You could just put the bottle of nutrient mix into a sonic cleaning device to remix the crystals gathered in the bottom. Note: you don’t need to take the solution out of the bottle, just put the whole bottle into the sonic cleaner and just add enough water to the device so that it works properly.
