I love Mariah's voice in every era and album because regardless of how her voice has changed her talent and vocal ability and musicality is undeniable! Mariah has a 5 octave range and has been belting it out for almost 30 years so of course her voice ain't gonna be the same as it was in her early 20s! Lets not forget that Mariah actually writes her own songs as well! These young ins her bash her need to have a seat and show respect to a LIVING LEGEND and see why Mariah is the Songbird Supreme! These newer artists on the radio are nothing compared to Mariah and all the other great singers of the 90s down!

One thing that makes her vocal runs outstanding is that it compliments every element of the song, it also intertwines with the entire instrumentation, thus making it an integral part of the song--you won't be able to sing it without executing Mariah's runs. She indeed makes her covers her own.
