Recently, 60-year-old British Earl Charles Spencer announced that he is in the process of divorcing his third wife, 52-year-old Karen, ending their 13-year marriage. The couple married in 2011 and welcomed their only child together, Charlotte Diana Spencer, in the following year. Earl Spencer has been married twice before, with four daughters and two sons from those marriages. Karen has two daughters from her previous marriage. Their marriage lasted 13 years, making it Earl Spencer's longest marital relationship.

This was his third marriage. His treatment of his first wife was as bad as his father's treatment of his (and Diana's) mother, Frances Roche
